More Information About Sesame Street On Cartoonito UK

Turner UK has released more information regarding the new season of Sesame Street which will premiere on Cartoonito on Monday 7th November. Cartoonito UK will start airing the show from season 46 which aired this year on HBO in the United States. In the new season, Sesame Street fan-favourite Cookie Monster will have his own segment called “Smart Cookies”.

In Smart Cookies, the Cookie Monster becomes a crime investigator and partners up with his other crime-fighting cookie friends: team leader Chipowski, tech-guy Figby and clue-giver Miss Fortune to stop The Crumb, a villainous baker that causes nothing but trouble. The crime-fighting team is well equipped, they have their own Smart Cookie car and a bunch of gadgets to help them out, but their brains is the most important tool in stopping and solving crimes. A Smart Cookie is an idiom referring to a clever person and Cookie Monster is known for his voracious appetite for cookies, as Cookie Monster explains “A Smart Cookie has to stop and think things through”.

In terms of Emmy Awards, Sesame Street is the most successful pre-school show in television history and from the new season, the long running show will feature new opening and closing songs, a revamped studio and a funny new young cast member named Nina moving to the street.

The new season of Sesame Street features an celebrity guest star cast with Gwen Stefani singing “Be a Good Friend;” Pharrell singing “B is for Book:” Nick Jonas singing “Check that Shape;” 5th Harmony singing “That’s Music;” Sara Bareilles singing “Just Like Magic;” Alan Cumming as “Mucko Polo” the grouch explorer; Ne-Yo singing “You’ve Got a Body, So Move It!;” Aloe Blacc singing “Everyday Hero;” Tracee Ellis Ross learning about bedtime routines; and Gina Rodriguez singing the ABCs in Spanish.

By the looks of things, the Cookie Monster is already packing his suitcase and is heading for the UK re-launch of Sesame Street on Cartoonito. 😀

Sesame Street will premiere on Cartoonito on Monday 7th November, with new episodes airing every day at 4pm.

The Cartoonito UK website now features an Sesame Street section with videos, colouring book pages and games, including the Cooking With Cookie game with Cookie Monster himself.
