Turner Southern Europe has acquired the broadcasting rights for Glammys: School of Fashion Vlog, the show will air on Boing France and Boing Italy. Glammys School of Fashion Vlog is a short-form animated series, consisting of 13 episodes with two minutes runtime per episode. The show is about a group of young people who attend a fashion school with dreams to become successful in the fashion business.

Each episode is a Vlog (Video log) for a different character in the show. The series has a running theme of friendship, teamwork, talent and creativity. The show’s target audience is girls between the ages of 6 to 9, but may appeal to other audiences because of the show’s humour.

The show is animated by Italian animation studio Maga Animation, known for the animated series Extreme Football (known as Foot2Rue Extrême in France).

Cartoon Network France Signs FranceTV Publicité Ad Agency Deal

Turner France has signed a deal with FranceTV Publicité for ad sales representation for three of its children’s channels: Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Boing. The state-owned national broadcaster of France will start their ad agency agreement with Turner on 1st January 2017, the deal will last for four years. The new deal will make FranceTV Publicité the second largest player in children’s advertising in France.

The three channels target three different audiences and therefore different advertisers, with Cartoon Network as its flagship channel mostly aiming at male children, Boomerang as its classic animation channel also dependent on modern acquisitions from Warner Bros. Animation and from other independent studios and Boing as Cartoon Network’s variety overspill channel.

Pierre Branco, VP and General Manager for Turner France, Portugal and Africa said (translated):

“I am delighted with this new collaboration. We entrust the management of our advertising space with FranceTV Advertising, its expertise and its capacity for innovation expertise convinced us to establish this new partnership. We are certain that with this new offering we always bring more value to our current advertisers and future.”
