Boomerang, Boing And Toonami Now Available On Fransat In France

French pay-tv satellite operator – Fransat has launched its very own kids channel pack (Pack Jeunesse), the channel pack includes French versions of three of Turner’s children’s channels – Boomerang, Boing and Toonami (as well as Canal J and Tiji from Lagardère Active). The channel pack launched on 1st December and has two prices – €6 per month with no contract or €4 per month with a 12 months contract.

Boomerang offers classic animation from Hanna-Barbera, MGM and Warner Bros., modern remakes of classic cartoons and contemporary animation from third-party studios. Boing offers a variety of programming, this includes some Cartoon Network classics and some live-action shows. Toonami is an action animation channel filled with shows from the DC Comics animation library.

Boing France And Boing Italy Buys Glammys School of Fashion Vlog Broadcasting Rights

Turner Southern Europe has acquired the broadcasting rights for Glammys: School of Fashion Vlog, the show will air on Boing France and Boing Italy. Glammys School of Fashion Vlog is a short-form animated series, consisting of 13 episodes with two minutes runtime per episode. The show is about a group of young people who attend a fashion school with dreams to become successful in the fashion business.

Each episode is a Vlog (Video log) for a different character in the show. The series has a running theme of friendship, teamwork, talent and creativity. The show’s target audience is girls between the ages of 6 to 9, but may appeal to other audiences because of the show’s humour.

The show is animated by Italian animation studio Maga Animation, known for the animated series Extreme Football (known as Foot2Rue Extrême in France).

Cartoon Network France Signs FranceTV Publicité Ad Agency Deal

Turner France has signed a deal with FranceTV Publicité for ad sales representation for three of its children’s channels: Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Boing. The state-owned national broadcaster of France will start their ad agency agreement with Turner on 1st January 2017, the deal will last for four years. The new deal will make FranceTV Publicité the second largest player in children’s advertising in France.

The three channels target three different audiences and therefore different advertisers, with Cartoon Network as its flagship channel mostly aiming at male children, Boomerang as its classic animation channel also dependent on modern acquisitions from Warner Bros. Animation and from other independent studios and Boing as Cartoon Network’s variety overspill channel.
