Cartoon Network Latin America Most Watched Kids Channel 2016

Cartoon Network Latin America continues to be most watched children’s channel in the region for the third consecutive year according to statistics from the Brazilian statistics company, IBOPE (Instituto Brasileiro de Opinião Pública e Estatística, in English: Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion and Statistics). Cartoon Network Latin America is also number one channel for children ages 4 to 11 in large markets such as Mexico and Brazil and smaller ones including Chile and Colombia.

To build on the channel’s success, Cartoon Network will continue to produce more local animation, release more mobile apps and merchandise and host more public events like Carrera Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network Latin America has also started airing a promo to advertise the new upcoming Ben 10 series, which will be coming to the region (as well as the United States and Canada) very soon.

Cartoon Network Brazil will be running a month-long Verão Divertido (Summer Fun) event at Rio Quente Resorts near Caldas Novas, Brazil. Cartoon Network’s summer of fun will run from Thursday 12th January to Sunday 12th February. During the month, kids will get to meet and greet Cartoon Network’s most popular characters and play games with Adventure Time’s Finn, Jake and Princess Bubblegum, Uncle Grandpa, Blossom from The Powerpuff Girls and Gumball.

Turner Broadcasting System Europe and Turner Broadcasting System Latin America has signed a deal with London based WildBrain to help manage their children’s television show’s YouTube channels. WildBrain will be responsible for specific YouTube accounts for Cartoon Network’s animated shows including The Amazing World of Gumball and Adventure Time which are in the process of being localised, new channels have already rolled out for The Powerpuff Girls and Adventure Time in the UK, Russia, Poland and Latin America.

WildBrain is the digital management division of Canada’s DHX Media, the world’s leading independent kids’ content company. DHX Media has access to a video library of over 11,800 half-hours of kids’ and family content including Cartoon Network’s Supernoobs and Boomerang’s Inspector Gadget. Before the deal, WildBrain was already responsible for managing LazyTown’s YouTube channel, a kids entertainment property owned by Turner. Apart from online kids content management and connecting content owners to advertisers, WildBrain also produce their own original content including storybook reading videos, animated and live-action shortform content and toy unboxing videos.

WildBrain, a leading online kids’ network with expertise in connecting content owners to advertisers through advertising video-on-demand (AVOD) platforms, announces a deal with Turner International to manage a number of Turner Kids YouTube channels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Latin America. The agreement sees WildBrain extending the international exposure of key Turner brands. New local-language channels have already rolled out for The Powerpuff Girls and Adventure Time in the UK, Russia, Poland, Brazil and Spanish-speaking Latin America, with more languages following soon. The Amazing World of Gumball and Ben 10 will also be included, together with a selection of other Cartoon Network shows.

The deal comes following a successful collaboration between Turner EMEA and WildBrain around LazyTown, which saw a number of local channels launched over the last year.
