Cartoon Network To Partner With IMG For Another New Theme Park In Dubai
IMG (Owner and operator of the brand new IMG World of Adventure indoor theme park) will be opening another new theme park in Dubai in 2019. The new theme park will be called IMG Worlds of Legends and will feature a small Cartoon Network Zone. Cartoon Network already has a zone at the IMG World of Adventures theme park featuring Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, The Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10 rides and attractions.
Not much has been disclosed about the Cartoon Network Zone at IMG Worlds of Legends, but the theme park will have a We Bare Bears themed attraction. Nickelodeon (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants) Ubisoft (Assassin’s Creed, Rayman Raving Rabbids and Just Dance), Saban Brands (Power Rangers), Nintendo (Pokémon), Toei Animation (Dragon Ball Z and One Piece), TV Tokyo (Naruto) and Mattel (includes Hot Wheels, Barbie, Mega Bloks and also includes a couple of Cartoonito UK’s acquired pre-school shows: Bob the Builder and Thomas and Friends) have all contributed their IP’s to the new theme park project.
The new theme park will have futuristic interactive rollercoasters, state-of-the-art rides, breathtaking water-based attractions, and live entertainment, the park will be connected to IMG Worlds of Adventure by a sky bridge as the new theme park will be built in very close proximity to each other.
Cartoon Network Enterprises MENA 2016 IMG Worlds Of Adventure Event
Cartoon Network Enterprises held its annual event at the IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to put forward its upcoming licensing plans for 2017. Licensees and retailers from different business sectors including Toys and Fashion from across the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region attended the event. At the event Cartoon Network promoted their popular shows that are available for licensing including Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10 and a show specially developed for the MENA market – Mansour.
During the event, retailers were presented with scalable toolkits for Cartoon Network’s properties, from turnkey activations offering augmented reality experiences to entertainment-based programmes for areas with a high concentration of shoppers. All are easily implementable retail solutions to drive deep engagement with shoppers and Cartoon Network audiences.
It’s highly likely that IMG Worlds of Adventure was chosen as the venue because the Cartoon Network Zone at the theme park is a major example of how licensing has been successfully executed. The zone features Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, The Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10 rides and attractions. IMG Worlds of Adventure opened its doors to the public on 31st August this year.

Cartoon Network Enterprises recently held its annual Licensing Day at Dubai’s IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park to discuss upcoming plans for 2017, franchise shows and support plans that will be put in place for the entire year.
Licensees and Retailers from Toy, Fashion and F&B sectors, all converged at the event from across the MENA region. In addition to numerous displays of Cartoon Network licensed product, attendees were also taken through an engaging and interactive journey on each of the Cartoon Network brands, including Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, Powerpuff Girls, and Ben 10, in addition to locally-produced show Mansour among others.

As the event came to a close, guests at the event enjoyed a meal at the Cartoon Network Feast, a uniquely conceived restaurant in the Cartoon Network Zone, followed by the opportunity to experience the different rides IMG Worlds of Adventure had to offer.
Cartoon Network Zone At IMG Worlds Of Adventure Info Released
The world’s largest temperature-controlled indoor theme park will open its doors on 15th August and details about the Cartoon Network Zone at the theme park has finally been released. IMG World of Adventures in Dubai, United Arab Emirates will be home to a whole zone of Cartoon Network related fun with Ben 10, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball and Powerpuff Girls themed rides and attractions.
The Cartoon Network Zone will feature a multi-sensory theatre called “Ben 10 5D – Hero Time” where visitors can experience a battle with Ben and Rook and a ride called “The Powerpuff Girls – Mojo Jojo’s Robot Rampage” where riders can experience a fight alongside The Powerpuff Girls against Mojo Jojo’s robot. The zone will also feature an Adventure Time World of Ooo scenic ride with Finn and Jake and The Amazing Ride of Gumball (based upon The Amazing World of Gumball).
