Children’s Media Conference: Cartoon Network

The Children's Media Conference: Cartoon Network To Attend This Week

Tomorrow (01/07/2015) will be the start of the Children’s Media Conference in Sheffield, England, UK. Turner Broadcasting will be there with other UK children’s broadcasters such as Viacom (Nickelodeon/Nick Jr/Nicktoons/Milkshake), Disney (Disney Channel/Disney XD/Disney Junior), BBC (CBBC and CBeebies) and ITV (CITV) with other children’s content producers and distributors such as HIT Entertainment, CAKE and Zodiak Kids.

The event is an opportunity for the industry to promote their ideas and plans for the upcoming year and to get a better idea of the current state of the British children’s television industry. The industry has gone through a renaissance in the last couple of years, thanks to UK government tax breaks for both animation and live action children’s programming. This is an opportunity for Turner UK to announce future programming and acquisition plans for Cartoon Network, Boomerang or Cartoonito; further news may follow this week.
