The new action series features famous superheroes from DC Comics including Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy), Superman, Wonder Woman and Booster Gold (Diedrich Bader) and other DC Comics superheroes alongside villains such as the Joker (voiced by Mark Hamill) and Lex Luthor (James Woods). Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) serves as executive producer with Butch Lukic (Justice League, Batman Beyond), Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series) and Jim Krieg (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) also serving as producers.
Cartoon Network USA will premiere the brand new animated action show a few weeks later on Friday 16th December at 6pm ET/PT and from Christmas Eve (Saturday 24th December), the show will air every Saturday morning. Full description of “Shazam Slam”:
In “Shazam Slam,” the villainous Black Adam battles Batman on the Rock of Eternity and unleashes a horde of Djinn determined to turn the Earth back to its pre-human, volcanic state. Affected by the otherworldly powers of these primordial monsters, Batman becomes possessed and is turned into a giant flying Batmonster laying waste to the Hall of Justice, with only Superman capable of taking the fight to the Dark Knight. One by one, the Justice League – with the help of Shazam (voiced by Sean Astin) and The Wizard (voiced by Carl Reiner) – must hunt down and defeat each Djinn in order to yet again save the world from destruction.

Yesterday (08/11/2016), Warner Bros. Animation announced that the action-hero animated show – Young Justice will be getting a third season and the show is officially back in production. Based on the DC Comics comic book series, Young Justice is about a bunch of teenage superhero sidekicks working together in a covert operation group called The Team, which is the youth group of the Justice League. The Justice League is a top-tier group of experienced superhero crime-fighters including Batman and Superman. The Young Justice team includes Nightwing, Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and many more.
Sam Register, President of Warner Bros. Animation mentioned that the show was revived from cancellation because of the demands of the show’s loyal fanbase:

Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman: Doomsday) and Greg Weisman (Star Wars Rebels, Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man) will be reprising their roles as show producers for the new season, the new season will feature “new twists, turns and dangerous new threats”. No premiere date and broadcaster have been announced yet, but Cartoon Network originally aired the first two seasons. However just because Cartoon Network (through Turner) and Warner Bros are part of the same corporation doesn’t mean Cartoon Network have automatic rights over the show. Cartoon Network currently airs DC Comics’ Teen Titans Go! which has been a ratings hit in the United States, the channel will also premiere DC Comics’ latest animated show – Justice League Action this autumn.

The Team is back and it’s “business as usual.” Warner Bros. In “Young Justice,” the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in a world of super powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. Used strategically as the secret covert weapon of the Justice League, Nightwing, Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and a host of others strive to prove to their legendary mentors, as well as to themselves, that they have what it takes to be heroes.
According to Time Warner’s 2nd Quarter Supplemental document which includes an upfront of new and returning shows for the 2016/2017 season, two new Warner Bros. Animation shows are mentioned – Wacky Racers and Dorothy Princess of Oz, according to the list, both shows will air on Cartoon Network.
News about a Wacky Racers reboot surfaced in October last year and the new show is part of Cartoon Network’s 450 half-hour animation deal with Warner Bros. Animation. Dorothy Princess of Oz is certainly more than likely to be based on the all-time classic movie – The Wizard of Oz. No formal announcement from Warner Bros. Animation or Cartoon Network have been made regarding both shows.
Note: In the United States, channels are sometimes identified by their channel abbreviations, in this case: TOON = Cartoon Network, ADSM = Adult Swim, DXD = Disney XD.
