Cartoon Network Continues To Be Most Watched Kids Channel In Latin America

According to Kantar IBOPE Media figures, Cartoon Network in Latin America continues to be most the most watched children’s channel in Latin America, it has been the most popular kids channel for 29 consecutive months in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The channel has also been reaching high viewing ratings for general cable television audiences.

Pablo Zuccarino, VP, Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Tooncast, Latin America commented on the use of cross-platform media to engage fans (which will effectively increase viewings on either mobile devices or/and television channels).

Cartoon Network continues to be the most popular kids channel in Latin America throughout the first part of 2016, statistics from Kantar Ibope Media shows. The excellent viewing ratings from the first quarter of 2016 is a direct continuation from Cartoon Network’s successes throughout 2015. New animated programming has helped maintain Cartoon Network’s top position and continues to invest into new animated shows made in Brazil and Latin America.
