Cartoon Network Southeast Asia Added To SingTel’s mio TV Service In Singapore

It was announced today (06/01/2014), that Cartoon Network Southeast Asia and six other Turner Broadcasting System channels have been added to SingTel’s mio TV Service in Singapore, including, CNN International, HLN, truTV, Turner Classic Movies, Oh!K and Boomerang which was previously announced before Christmas and replaced Cartoonito on 1st January 2015. Two further channels will be added to mio, at the end of January, Toonami Asia will be added and WarnerTV will be added later in the year. All added channels will have a free preview until 5th March.

Turner International Asia Pacific’s president Ricky Ow, made this statement in regards of the Turner/SingTel distribution deal:

“With this new partnership with SingTel, our portfolio of leading TV brands is now available in all Singapore pay-TV households, Singaporeans have enjoyed our brands and content for years, so we are excited to offer our channels to an even bigger audience.”

Mr Goh Seow Eng, Managing Director of TV at SingTel made this statement in regards of the deal:

“These channels are a much anticipated addition to mio TV’s news, kids and entertainment categories. Our customers will undoubtedly enjoy the wider selection of programmes. To offer our customers a glimpse of the new programming, we are pleased to offer a free preview of all the new channels from today until March 5th.”
