Cartoon Network UK Adventure Time Virtual Reality Game Available From 29th September

Cartoon Network UK will be releasing an Adventure Time virtual reality game on Google Play for Android mobile devices on Thursday 29th September. The “I See Ooo” game features many of the characters from the popular animated show and the player can immerse themselves in a story in the Land of Ooo, with three different mini-games with twenty levels and several levels of difficulty. The first two mini-games will be avaliable from launch: Glider Flight and Snowball Fight, Puzzle Path will be released later as a free downloadable. The game will be released in UK, Ireland and the Nordic countries.

Alongside the release of the game, a Jake the Dog themed VR viewer will be available to purchase on and Forbidden Planet for £24.99, the viewer can also be used for other VR games. Each Jake the Dog VR viewer also comes with a download code for the I See Ooo app.

The I See Ooo game was developed by Bristol-based VR software company Opposable.

Cartoon Network is giving fans of global hit animated series Adventure Time an opportunity to experience the show in a whole new way, with the launch of the thrilling virtual reality mobile game “I See Ooo” and specially-designed Adventure Time branded viewer to play it through.

Play as Finn to take on three righteous challenges and help him unlock Party Pat, the Party Bears and Abracadaniel – and discover why the Ice King is such a party pooper.

Start the game in the Tree Fort partying with your friends when suddenly the Ice King attacks, freezes everyone and scatters them across Ooo. Now it’s up to you and Finn to find your friends, release them from their ice prisons and restart the party.

Today (14/09/2016), Turner UK have announced a brand new animated show coming to Boomerang UK in October called The Happos Family. Initially, twenty episodes have been made, each episode will be two minutes in length each. The Happos Family is also the first ever Boomerang original created by Turner Europe, Middle East and Africa. The 3D CGI show is about a bunch of happos (a fictional animal similar to a hippo) living at a safari park, to the people visiting the safari park during the day, they’re just ordinary happos doing what happos normally do, lying around in mud and sleeping. But, when the park closes for the evening and all of the humans have left the park, the happos wake-up and their personalities come out to shine.

Characters include Astro Happo, a happo with an ambition to travel to the moon, there also a Daredevil called Stunt Happo and there’s Party Happo who like dancing with Ballerina Happo and Bollywood Happo. The show is a slapstick comedy produced by the UK based animation studio – Spider Eye and the show is created in partnership with the famous Italian chocolate company – Ferrero, known for producing Kinder Surprise, Nutella and of course, Kinder Happy Hippos. The Boomerang UK website will also offer very soon an interactive experience with video clips of The Happos Family and online games based on the show.

There are many other new shows coming to Boomerang UK (and other international versions of Boomerang) very shortly, such as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: The Series and Grizzy and the Lemmings.

Turner today announces The Happos Family – a brand-new, original series that will be coming to its second flagship kids’ channel, Boomerang from October 2016.

Made up of 20 x 2 minute shorts, The Happos Family is the first Boomerang Original to be created by Turner EMEA and will complement the channel’s existing portfolio of global and international acquisitions, such as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and the soon-to-launch Grizzy & the Lemmings, as well as the new pipeline of original content, including Wabbit and Bunnicula, produced by Turner’s sister company Warner Bros. Animation. It has been created in partnership with world-renowned Italian corporation Ferrero and UK animation company Spider Eye.

The show features a family of Happos who live in an enclosure in a European safari park. In the morning the park is open to human visitors who drive past the Happos, taking pictures of them wallowing in the mud, lazing by the pool, sleeping in the shade of the tree. When the last car races out of the safari park and the gates are shut to all visitors, the Happos jump up out of the mud, wake up from their snoozing and get dressed up. It’s now their time for crazy, zany, Happo adventures.

Each of the 20 episodes centres on one of ten costumed Happos. Whether it’s Astro Happo longing to fly to the moon, or Stunt Happo attempting a daredevil feat, or Party Happo in a dance off with Ballerina and Bollywood, each storyline is laugh-out-loud, slap stick comedy with lots of heart.

This first Boomerang Original series, created and produced in EMEA, follows the recent announcement that Turner has commissioned a sixth season of the EMEA-created hit series The Amazing World of Gumball for Cartoon Network.

Cartoon Network and video gaming/fandom entertainment website Machinima have teamed up to host an Adventure Time Card Wars tournament to promote the release of the sequel of the highly successful 2015 Card Wars mobile game. The new game – Adventure Time Card Wars Kingdom – will be released on Thursday 14th July on Google Play (Android), Apple App Store (iOS) and the Amazon App Store (Fire/Android). Card Wars is a TCG (trading card game) which requires strategy and an element of luck, the game has also featured in two notable episodes of Adventure Time – Card Wars and Daddy-Daughter Card Wars.

Machinima will be hosting a Card Wars tournament using the new game (via a livestream) on Friday 15th July (the day after the game’s launch) at 8pm BST, the name of the single elimination live tournament will be called “Let’s Play Flooping Card Wars!”, a reference to “flooping”, a type of card move featured in the mobile game and in the show.

The tournament will feature four people from Machinima’s talent pool of highly skilled video gamers, including – ChimneySwift11, JeromeASE, CavemanFilms and TJ Smith Gaming. The tournament will have three rounds of two matches, with the winner of the third round taking home the Adventure Time Card Wars Kingdom crown.

The Card Wars game sequel also follows the sequel of the Adventure Time’s Card Wars episode which premiered on Cartoon Network USA yesterday (07/07/2016). In the episode “Daddy-Daughter Card Wars”, Jake needed his daughter Charlie’s help in an underground Card Wars tourney to move on from his embarrassing past.

The livestream for the special Card Wars tournament will be streaming on Machinima’s Twitch account ( on Friday 15th July airing from 8pm to 9.30pm BST.

To celebrate the impending launch of brand-new mobile app Adventure Time Card Wars Kingdom – the follow-up to 2015’s hugely successful Adventure Time Card Wars – Cartoon Network has joined forces with Machinima, the first global Many2Many programming service for fandom and gamer culture, to present the single elimination live tournament, Let’s Play Flooping Card Wars!

Hosted by Machinima on Friday 15th July 8:00pm BST, this livestream event will be the ultimate showcase of Adventure Time Card Wars Kingdom for both kid and adult fans of the franchise with four of Machinima’s top-gaming talent – ChimneySwift11, JeromeASE, CavemanFilms and TJ Smith Gaming being remotely pitted against one another in an intense battle. Each of the tournament’s three rounds will include two matches, with the winner of the third round taking home the Adventure Time Card Wars Kingdom crown.

For those not able to tune-in live, tournament footage and commentary from each of the players will be available exclusively on participating talents’ YouTube channels until Monday 25th July. Cartoon Network will then also make the content available on its YouTube channels for fans to enjoy alongside many more of their favourite Adventure Time clips.
