Barbara Funke Appointed New Director Of Marketing And PR For Turner Central And Eastern Europe

Today (22/03/2016), it was announced that Barbara Funke was appointed as the new Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Turner Broadcasting System Europe’s channels in Central and Eastern Europe. Barbara Funke now has PR and marketing responsibility over Cartoon Network and Boomerang (as well as TNT) feeds in Central and Eastern Europe (which includes Germany, the Benelux countries, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and Russia). She reports to Malgosia Chapman, Vice President Brand & Content Engagement for Turner Central and Eastern Europe and is based in Munich and previously had employment at Spin Master Toys and Walt Disney Germany.

Cartoon Network Latin America Wins A Silver Award At The Eikon 2015 Awards

Yesterday (27/10/2015), Cartoon Network Latin America have won a Silver Award for Consumer Relations at the Eikon 2015 Awards in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The award was won for Cartoon Network’s annual running event called Carrera Cartoon Network in 2014, which was hosted in various cities within Latin America. At the event, children and their parents are tethered together and must complete a running course to win a medal for taking part, the event also features special guest appearances of Cartoon Network characters supporting the participants. A company called Personally PR worked alongside Turner to organise the event’s promotion and musician/actor Diego Torres also was a figurehead to promote the campaign.
