From Monday 11th May, rival children’s channel, Nickelodeon Germany will air Adventure Time on weekdays at 2.20pm, starting from season three, providing an opportunity to watch the popular Cartoon Network show on a free-to-view channel. The series is about a boy named Finn and a 28 year-old magical dog named Jake who encounter many strange adventures in the Land of Ooo, the show is known for its wide range of characters and different environments leading to an endless amount of adventures and stories.
The show was featured and originated as a short on Federator’s Random! Cartoons showcase on Nickelodeon in the United States in December 2008, in 2009 the show won the Annie Award for the Best Animated Short Subject. In 2010, Cartoon Network picked up the series where it remains to be aired to this day, with other broadcasters worldwide also airing the show. Since airing as a full series, Adventure Time has won two Annie Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards and two British Academy Children’s Awards (Children BAFTA’s).
