Cartoon Network Imagination Studios Coming To Africa In November: Time To Get Creative!
Cartoon Network Imagination Studios is heading to Africa this November, the news was announced by Pierre Branco, the manager of Turner Africa, at the Turner press conference during the MultiChoice Africa #OnlyTheBest Content Showcase in Mauritius on Friday (04/09/2015). The Cartoon Network Imagination Studios minisite enables kids aged between 4 and 14 to learn how cartoons are made. From what they learnt from the website, kids can then do a creation of their own, for example a storyboard or a character and then submit their entry to the Imagination Studios competition. In the African competition, the best character design will be featured in an episode of The Amazing World of Gumball.
Pierre Branco, Vice President of Turner Southern Europe and Africa explained what Cartoon Network Imagination Studios can do for children that are interested in animation:
“We will give them behind the scenes experience of what our studios are. They can see exactly what our creators do, how they do it. They will also get a lot of workshops where they will get a wide range of tools to understand what entails when it comes to developing their cartoon character”
A separate competition for South Africa will be announced soon.
