Justice League Action To Premiere On Cartoon Network USA Soon

On Friday (29/01/2016), Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics made an announcement that their latest animated series, Justice League Action will premiere soon on Cartoon Network USA. The new action series will feature Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy), Superman, Wonder Woman and Booster Gold (Diedrich Bader) and other DC Comics superheroes alongside villains such as the Joker (voiced by Mark Hamill) and Lex Luthor (James Woods). Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) will serve as executive producer with Butch Lukic (Justice League, Batman Beyond), Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series) and Jim Krieg (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) also serving as producers.

Each episode will be an action packed 11 minutes in length, a similar timeframe to Cartoon Network’s current animated shows.

News about a new Justice League animated show was revealed last October as information was accidently leaked out by Cartoon Network Canada’s owners – Corus Entertainment. As the information was not released by Turner or Warner Bros., it was not a direct official confirmation.

  1. CN doesn’t seem to like 22-minute action shows anymore. The only 22-minute shows I see nowadays on CN are Transformers RID, Pokemon, and Mixels, one of which is based on an action franchise, one of which is an anime, and one of which is a…much more comedic collaboration, but they seem to just do specials nowadays.
