Jeppe Damgaard New Distribution Director Of Cartoon Network Nordic

Today (29/02/2016), Jeppe Damgaard has been appointed as the new Distribution Director of Turner Nordic (includes Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TCM, CNN International and TNT), he will work and negotiate with pay-tv providers to provide linear TV and video on-demand services for Turner’s channels. Before his appointment, Mr Damgaard used to work for Modern Times Group, the company that operates the Viasat pay-tv satellite platform.

Bo Falk Østergaard, the general manager of Turner Nordic made this statement regarding Mr Damgaard’s appointment (translated):

“We are very pleased with the appointment of Jeppe Damgaard, as it will help us with the next step in our growth with a new strategy that puts the consumer at the center of everything we do. From a distribution point of view, this means for example, is that we can go through our distribution partners to offer our strong and globally loved brands as both linear channels and video on demand services”

Cartoon Network UK First Check It 4.0 Promo

Yesterday (27/02/2016), Cartoon Network UK and Ireland broadcasted their first promo using Check It 4.0 graphics. The promo is for the new series of Transformers: Robots In Disguise which is due to air on Saturday 12th March, the promo featuring children opening a box revealing the new season of the show and has a Check It 4.0 endboard. It is not presently known when Cartoon Network UK will rebrand entirely with the new graphics or when, but I’ll keep you posted when I get more information.
