Cartoon Network UK And Lego Promote Nexo Knights
Cartoon Network UK and Lego have united to promote Cartoon Network’s latest show and Lego’s hottest toy property – Nexo Knights. Cartoon Network UK is currently airing Nexo Knights which airs every day at 6pm; the channel is also promoting the new Lego toy range. The story of Nexo Knights is set in a medieval kingdom in a futuristic world, where five heroic knights must join together in a quest to defeat an evil jester named Jestro and his monster army. Cartoon Network has also launched a new minisite to promote the show, featuring a game called “Wield The Shield” providing kids the opportunity to enter a competition for a chance to win a bundle of Lego Nexo Knights prizes, if players reach a certain level in the game, they will be awarded a power-up shield which can be scanned into the Merlok 2.0 app which can help them defeat monsters within the mobile game.

Cartoon Network today announced its partnership with the LEGO® Group to support the brand new LEGO® NEXO KNIGHTS™ toy range and “Merlok 2.0” gaming app, the channel aims to promote both products across their TV and digital platforms. This partnership coincides with the launch of the LEGO-animated NEXO KNIGHTS™ series, which is currently airing every day at 6pm on Cartoon Network.
Throughout February, Cartoon Network will work with LEGO to get kids excited about the all-new LEGO® NEXO KNIGHTS™ toy range and app. LEGO® NEXO KNIGHTS™ is an original property that depicts a medieval kingdom set in a futuristic world, where five heroic knights must come together in a quest to battle the evil Jestro and his monster army. The NEXO KNIGHTS™ story comes to life through the LEGO toy range, the “Merlok 2.0” app and the all-new television series.
Cartoon Network’s partnership with LEGO includes a 30” webdrive, which will introduce kids to the NEXO KNIGHTS™ toy range and ask them to “U-Knight” for a very special Cartoon Network quest by heading to the bespoke NEXO KNIGHTS™ microsite hosted by CartoonNetwork.co.uk. The microsite features exclusive content including the “Wield The Shield” mini-game, which offers the opportunity for kids to enter a competition for a chance to win an epic bundle of LEGO® NEXO KNIGHTS™ prizes, including the entire toy range. Additionally, once kids reach a certain level of the game they will be rewarded with an exclusive power-up shield which they can scan and use to battle monsters while playing the NEXO KNIGHTS™ “Merlok 2.0” app.
To further support The LEGO® Group’s all-new toy range and app, Cartoon Network has also created online traffic drivers, including banners and pre-rolls. The traffic drivers, webdrive and microsite will run live from today until Friday, 4th March.
