Cartoon Network App Wins 2016 Creative Arts Emmy
This weekend (10/09/2016 and 11/09/2016) the 2016 Creative Arts Emmys was held in Los Angeles. On 26th August, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation winners two weeks ahead of the actual ceremony, with three members of Cartoon Network production staff winning awards. However, this weekend, it was announced that Cartoon Network has won another Emmy. The Cartoon Network App won the award in the User Experience and Visual Design category, the app won for providing users an enriched experience in terms of functionality, usability and graphics.
The Cartoon Network USA App allows users to watch their favourite shows on the move and all in one place, the app can also generate a customised playlist based on the user’s preferences. The app also features exclusive premieres, giving fans a chance to watch the latest episodes before they officially air on Cartoon Network USA. In order to have full access, all you need is a Cable or Satellite television subscription from a participating pay-TV provider (the list includes all major US cable/satellite TV companies such as DirecTV, Dish, Comcast, Cox, Charter etc.). The app went through a revamp and was relaunched last year.
