Cartoon Network Africa Coming To Kwesé TV 3rd May
Pan-African DTH (Direct-To-Home) Satellite television provider – Kwesé TV has signed a distribution deal with Turner Southern Europe and Africa to include Cartoon Network Africa, Boomerang Africa and CNN International as part of their pay-TV packages. Cartoon Network, Boomerang and CNN International will be available to Kwesé TV subscribers from 3rd May, subscribers will get to enjoy a wide range of cartoons, including long-time favourites Tom and Jerry and Scooby-Doo! on Boomerang, and current hits such as We Bare Bears, Steven Universe and The Amazing World of Gumball on Cartoon Network. CNN International will also be available for those who want to keep up with current news and events.
All three channels will also be added to Kwesé TV’s mobile app, allowing subscribers to watch cartoons and the news on their smartphone anywhere on the continent. The new broadcasting deal expands Turner’s presence in Africa, which is currently a growing and emerging market.
Joseph Hundah, the President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Econet Media, the owners of Kwesé TV, commented on the distribution deal with Turner:
