Adventure Time Elements And Steven Universe Wanted Win Common Sense Seal Awards
The mini-series Adventure Time: Elements has won a Common Sense Seal from family-friendly content review website – Common Sense Media. Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe has also won a seal for its one-hour special – Wanted, which consisted of four episodes. Common Sense Media analyses television shows, video games, books, mobile apps, websites and movies to make sure they’re suitable for a younger audience, both parents and children can contribute feedback by posting reviews. The non-profit organisation goes beyond the typical age appropriate standards when rating content, it also considers whether the show (or any form of media marketed towards children) has a positive message for children and whether the content has positive role models or/and educational content.
In Adventure Time: Elements (aired in the U.S. in April), both Finn and Jake return from a long voyage and discover that the Land of Ooo is in complete disarray, the four elements Ice, Candy, Fire and Slime have been thrown out of balance and as a consequence it has split the land into four. Finn and Jake teams up with Ice King and Lumpy Space Princess to restore the natural order of the land. In the Steven Universe: Wanted story-arc (aired in the U.S. in May), Steven goes to court in the Gem Homeworld for shattering Pink Diamond (technically caused by his mother – Rose Quartz, Steven possesses her gem), Steven meets some new allies – The Off-Colors and thanks to Lars, he escapes back to Earth in the most unusual way.
