Ben 10 Toys To Be Showcased At The North American International Toy Fair This Weekend

From this weekend to early next week (Saturday 18th February to Tuesday 21st February), Cartoon Network Enterprises licence holder – Playmates Toys will be showcasing their toy portfolio at the North American International Toy Fair, including brand new Ben 10 toys coinciding with the return of the animated series in the United States and Latin America this year. The new toys will be on display in the Playmates Toys booth at the toy fair. The North American International Toy Fair will be held at the Javits Convention Center and the Toy Center in New York.

Playmates Toys will introduce their Ben 10 range of basic, deluxe and giant figures, a vehicle playset, two different versions of the Omnitrix and additional roleplay costumes in Autumn this year. Playmates Toys’ Ben 10 toys include highly detailed toy figures with accessories and a Deluxe Omnitrix, featuring motion activated lights and sounds. Playmates Toys will also be releasing a Rustbucket RV Playset which will be packed with action features including an alien transformation chamber, plasma blaster and an alien lab.

Fyodor Golan Powerpuff Girls Clothing London Fashion Week Collaboration

Cartoon Network and fashion brand Fyodor Golan have teamed up at London Fashion Week today (17/02/2017) for an all-new fashion collaboration inspired by Cartoon Network’s very own The Powerpuff Girls. To promote the new Powerpuff Girls collection, Cartoon Network animated a special news report called “Townsville Today” featuring The Powerpuff Girls, in the news report, the girls give infamous Townsville villains – The Fashionistas a good “dressing down” after being caught stealing Fyodor Golan’s fabric so they could produce their own creation – “The Smoohji”, but they get arrested by the fashion police. As an award for saving the day, Fyodor Golan invited the girls to their show at London Fashion Week. CNN’s Becky Anderson (anchor of CNN’s Connect the World) played the role of news anchor in the animated news report. The Powerpuff Girls inspired Autumn/Winter 2017 collection will be available for sale beginning in July at select department stores and boutiques worldwide.

Fyodor Golan is a fashion brand founded by Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman in 2011, previously they have worked with Hasbro for My Little Pony and Transformers fashion collaborations.

Featured on the runway during the event were seven of the 15-piece collection. As mentioned in the updated Cartoon Network USA February 2017 Highlights blog post (which also overhangs into early March), a sneak peek of the upcoming Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs animated series will air on Cartoon Network USA on Monday 20th February at 6.30pm ET/PT (or see it first on the Cartoon Network App). The new animated series will fully premiere on Cartoon Network USA on Monday 6th March at 5.30pm ET/PT.

The new series is a prequel to the popular movie franchise (Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2), of a which a young Flint Lockwood has ambitions to become a respected scientist and inventor and his friend Sam Sparks has ambitions to become a meteorologist. As this series is a prequel, the events in the new show will take place before the crazy moment when food fell from the sky in Swallow Falls, a town that used to depend on sardines for it’s economic output. The new animated series also features many of the characters from the film including Flint’s dad, Tim; Flint’s lab assistant, Steve the monkey; Earl, the school’s busiest teacher; Manny, the head of the school’s audiovisual department; Brent, the local teenage celebrity and captain of the mascot team; and Mayor Shelbourne.

The new animated series is produced by Sony Pictures Animation in association with Teletoon (Corus Entertainment) in Canada, with DHX Media owning global television, merchandising, and non-US home entertainment distribution rights. The new show will soon air on Boomerang’s international feeds across Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific regions. Initially, 26 episodes have been produced, with each episode being 22 minutes in length.
