Nigel Clarke Named As Presenter For Ben 10 Challenge (UK Version)

Cartoon Network UK’s upcoming game show based on Ben 10 – Ben 10 Challenge is well into production in Madrid, Spain and will air on the Cartoon Network UK TV channel sometime in the Autumn. Television presenter – Nigel Clarke has been named as the presenter of the UK version of the gameshow. Nigel has a wealth of experience on television and has done presenting work for CBBC, Disney Channel and Nickelodeon and has recently presented some BAFTA Kids events in London too, including the Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu – Hands of Time UK premiere screening and a special screening for The Amazing World of Gumball with Ben Bocquelet, Mic Graves and Sarah Fell.

New Cartoon Network Russia and Southeastern Europe Dimensional Toon Toon Promo

Cartoon Network Russia and Southeastern Europe (the version of Cartoon Network that broadcasts to Russia, Bulgaria, the Baltics and the Balkans) is now airing a brand new promo for its multi-show Toon Toon programming block, the promo features 3D CGI with some elements from the Dimensional rebrand package and features Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Dr Dimensionpants, Scooby and Shaggy and Dexter. The use of Dimensional in the promo could mean the channel will rebrand (or partly rebrand) soon.

Boomerang Central Eastern Europe To Be Ad-Supported In Hungary From October

Following news of the projected launch of the Czech soundtrack and Czech Republic ad opt-out on Cartoon Network CEE on 1st September, Boomerang in Hungary will also be ad-supported from October. Ad sales will be handled by Turner’s ad sales partner in Hungary – Atmedia.

Cartoon Network MENA Partners With MeMob For App Monetization

Turner MENAGC (Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, Greece and Cyprus) along with its current ad sales agency, ATL Media, have teamed up with MeMob (owned by Mediaquest) to represent mobile app ad sales in the region. Turner currently has 52 apps that are available for fans living in the region, with a total of more than four million downloads between January and April this year. Top downloaded apps include We Bare Bears’ Free Fur All with 934,000 downloads and The Powerpuff Girls’ “Glitch Fixers” with 722,000 total downloads. According to a 2016 Kids Compass study from Turner, kids are increasingly using smartphones and tablets as a method to access entertainment such as apps and games, 62% of children use smartphones and 56% use tablets, the popularity of Cartoon Network’s mobile games has made it worthwhile for Turner to consider mobile advertising as an extra revenue stream.

Along with its existing agreement with ATL Media, Turner already offers advertising on Cartoon Network Arabic’s digital services, including social networking sites and websites.

Tarek Mounir, vice president and general manager Turkey, MENA, Greece & Cyprus made this statement regarding the mobile advertising deal:

Cartoon Network France Signs FranceTV Publicité Ad Agency Deal

Turner France has signed a deal with FranceTV Publicité for ad sales representation for three of its children’s channels: Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Boing. The state-owned national broadcaster of France will start their ad agency agreement with Turner on 1st January 2017, the deal will last for four years. The new deal will make FranceTV Publicité the second largest player in children’s advertising in France.

The three channels target three different audiences and therefore different advertisers, with Cartoon Network as its flagship channel mostly aiming at male children, Boomerang as its classic animation channel also dependent on modern acquisitions from Warner Bros. Animation and from other independent studios and Boing as Cartoon Network’s variety overspill channel.
