Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. Animation And Adult Swim At Pixelatl’s La Cumbre Animation Summit 8th And 9th April
Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. Animation and Adult Swim will be present at Pixelatl’s La Cumbre Animation Summit which will be held at InterContinental Presidente Santa Fe Mexico Hotel in Mexico City on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th April. The animation industry summit is an additional event to Pixelatl’s main animation festival which is held annually in September (this year’s Pixelatl’s animation festival will be held on 3rd to 7th September, at the usual location of Cuernavaca, Mexico). The event is a chance for animation industry professionals to network with each other and to help promote Mexico’s fast growing animation industry, the event isn’t just limited to animation studios but also other companies where animation is occasionally produced as a form of entertainment or advertising, this includes – video game studios, advertising agencies and production houses.
At the event, Cartoon Network Latin America will be represented by CN Mexico’s Jaime Jiménez Rión – Content Director and Humberto Cervera – Writer and Producer of Original Productions.
Yesterday (2nd April), Pixelatl, the organisers of the summit announced on Twitter that Warner Bros. Animation (Looney Tunes, Unikitty!, Teen Titans Go!, Justice League Action) will also be present:
On 21st March, it was announced that Adult Swim will be present at the summit and will be seeking Mexican talent, Vice President of Animated Production at Adult Swim – Ollie Green will be there too:
Bardel Entertainment, the studio behind Cartoon Network’s hit animated show – Teen Titans Go! and Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty will be represented by 2D Supervising Animation Director – Johnny Tesoro.
Renegade Animation, the studio behind Warner Bros. Animation’s The Tom and Jerry Show and Cartoon Network’s Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi will also be at the La Cumbre Animation Summit, the studio will be represented by Production Manager – Scott Lowe and Director – Miguel Angel Uriegas.
Cinema Fantasma, the stop-motion studio behind Cartoon Network Latin America’s Toontorial, will be represented by the studio’s co-founder – Arturo Ambriz.
Mighty Animation, the studio that produces Cartoon Network’s Viking Tales, will be represented by Creative Director – Claudio Jimenez and Head of Animation – Julio Pacheco.
Ánima Studios, the studio that produces Cartoon Network’s Ram Pam Dam will be represented by the studio’s Chief Operating Officer – José Carlos García de Letona.
Titmouse, the studio behind Adult Swim’s Tigtone and Ballmastrz 9009 will be represented by Chief Operating Officer – Ben Kalina.
Reel FX, the studio that has produced some 3D CGI Looney Tunes shorts, will be represented by Executive Producer – Chuck Peil.
AI Animation Studios, the studio behind the successful short-form animated series specially produced for Cartoon Network – Villainous will be represented by Villainous show creator – Alan Ituriel and producer Mayte Sanz.
