The new series is produced by the combined effort of three different Chile-based studios – Punk Robot, Niño Viejo and Typpo, with both Punk Robot and Niño Viejo are handling the animation production and Typpo is doing the scriptwriting for the show. Nothing weird about that. While flipping through the channels, however, the apple suddenly comes across a show called ‘Apple and Onion.’ What the heck? A show about an apple and an onion? It seems to be about them, but it’s not about them, but it’s got some cool stuff, but it’s also very inaccurate, but… but… Anyway, they definitely have LOTS of things to say about it.

DC Super Hero Girls Animated Shorts Now On YouTube: New Shorts Every Thursday

Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics are now releasing brand new animated shorts based on the upcoming DC Super Hero Girls series coming to Cartoon Network USA this year. New episodes are released every Thursday on the DC Super Hero Girls YouTube channel, the first new animated short called “Super Sleeper” was released on Thursday 17th January. The first short “The Late Batsby” which was released theatrically preceding Teen Titans Go! To The Movies premiered on YouTube on 10th January.

In the animated short “Super Sleeper”, Barbara Gordon (aka Batgirl) hosts a sleepover and finds out that Kara (aka Supergirl) “sleep-flies” in her sleep and tries to stop her from flying into danger. In the first animated short which was released “The Great Batsby” – Batgirl is desperate for adventure and can’t wait to join Wonder Woman, Supergirl and the rest of the gang as they attempt to stop Mr Freeze’s latest sinister plot, but one problem, she’s late, but is she?.

DC Super Hero Girls was first introduced as an animated shorts series on YouTube in 2015 and a total of five seasons have been produced so far. Following the success of the shorts and the TV special – “DC Super Hero Girls: Super Hero High”, Warner Bros. Animation decided to make a TV series adaptation with a revised art style for both the shorts and the TV series. Warner Bros. Animation also hired Lauren Faust (best known for her work on Cartoon Network’s Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends and Hasbro’s My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) the as series developer, producer, writer and character designer of the new TV series and has given the DC Super Hero Girls a brand new look. The brand new shorts offers an insight into what the new series will look like.

The new DC Super Hero Girls series follows not-so-typical teenagers Diana, Kara, Barbara better known by their superhero names Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Batgirl. While not in school, they’re busy protecting the city of Metropolis from some of the most fearsome supervillians of the DC Comics Universe. Being a teenaged superhero isn’t easy, especially as they have to balance their time between a social life, their families, their studies and saving the city. Other members of the DC Super Hero Girls include Bumblebee, Zatanna and the Green Lantern.
