French Canadian animation studio, Squeeze Animation have announced that their latest 3D CGI animated show – “Cracké” will start to premiere on different versions of Boomerang across Europe from October. Turner has purchased the broadcasting rights for Boomerang UK and Ireland, Germany, Italy and the Portuguese language feed.

The new animated show is a slapstick comedy that is about a clumsy (and ironically overprotective) ostrich named Ed, who tries to protect his beloved eggs, but he always gets himself and his eggs in tricky and dangerous situations. Season two of “Cracké” is currently in development. Cracké has aired on Cartoon Network Brazil, and Cartoon Network Canada’s associate channel – Teletoon.

Denis Doré, Squeeze’s president and co-founder says that the international spread of the show has inspired Squeeze to develop Cracké season two:

“It’s always an amazing feeling to realize that our original characters will have the chance to make people laugh, no matter where they come from, or where they live!, Seeing that Cracké can travel the world gives our team a wonderful boost of energy for the second season’s creative process that is well under way!”
