Cartoon Network USA Halloween Colouring Book Bumpers Mashup

After a slight graphics refresh on Monday this week (10th September), Cartoon Network USA is continuing the Colouring Book theme with another colouring-in mashup, but this time it’s for an ident that will air during Halloween. Cartoon Network USA are inviting fans to take part in the mashup and colour-in individual frames for two Halloween themed bumpers/idents. Fans can take part in the mashup and find out more by visiting, submissions for the Halloween mashup will close on Tuesday 25th September.

The first ident features Susie – the meanest witch on Summer Camp Island in the woods, she’s brewing up a concoction in her cauldron, with ghost-like Cartoon Network characters escaping from it, the ident features Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, Grizz from We Bare Bears, Oscar from Summer Camp Island, Gumball from The Amazing World of Gumball and K.O. from OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. In the background behind Susie, we can see the strongest witch on Summer Camp Island – Alice flying past.

The second ident features a head transformation animation, it starts off with Summer Camp Island’s Oscar as a mummy being unbandaged, followed by Panda from We Bare Bears as a Jack-o’-lantern and then Raven from Teen Titans Go! releasing bats from her cape.

Stacey Solomon Transformed Into Vilgax From Ben 10 For Halloween

British singer, X Factor finalist and ITV’s Loose Woman panelist – Stacey Solomon was transformed into an alien from Ben 10 for her son Zachery for Halloween. Cartoon Network UK collaborated with BAFTA-winning studio Millennium FX who have previously provided costumes and makeup for BBC’s Doctor Who and has transformed Stacy into the green tentacled alien overlord – Vilgax. In the Ben 10 reboot, Vilgax was introduced in the Omnitricked four-part special episode. Stacey Solomon previously promoted a Ben 10 campaign in 2012 called the Alien World Record challenge, where several kids built a giant alien made out of plastic bricks to break the Guinness World Record for “The Most People Taking Part In Building A Plastic Brick Sculpture”. The sculpture was a model of the building block alien – Bloxx from Ben 10 Omniverse.

New Ben 10 Magazine Out Now In The UK

A magazine based on Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 has relaunched in the UK on Wednesday 18th October. This version of the magazine focuses on the 2016 reboot series, the magazine is on sale for £3.99 and features a comic strip with an original story, a free blaster toy, puzzles and a competition to win Ben Tennyson’s alien transforming watch – the Omnitrix. The magazine is published by Panini Comics and issue #1 is now available to buy at all good newsagents across the UK.

Cartoon Network UK Halloween Bumpers Featuring Doughnuts?!?

For Halloween, Cartoon Network UK has made some funny bumpers featuring the popular sugary and doughy cake – doughnuts. Each bumper features a live action stop-motion sequence with animated doughnuts parodying various horror and sci-fi characters, movies and objects with puns to match. Bumpers include: Jampire aka Count Doughula (Vampire aka Count Dracula), Dunkenstein (Frankenstein’s Monster), U.F.D: Unidentified Flying Doughnut (U.F.O. Unidentified Flying Object), Doooughnuts (Ghost Donuts), Curse Of The Doughwolf (Curse of the Werewolf), Dawn Of The Doughed (Dawn of the Dead) and Cartoon Network’s Filler (Michael Jackson’s Thriller). These bumpers were also made to promote Cartoon Network’s Imagination Studios initiative and competition.

A New Tooncast Presentation Reel Featuring Classic Cartoon Characters

Argentina/Brazil based graphics agency Le Cube have developed a sizzle presentation reel for Cartoon Network Latin America’s classic cartoon sister channel, Tooncast. The presentation reel has a series of bumpers that feature classic Hanna-Barbera and Cartoon Network characters, such as Scooby Doo, The Flintstones, Edd and Plank from Ed, Edd and Eddy, Dick Dastardly and Muttley, Dexter and Dee Dee from Dexter’s Laboratory and Samurai Jack.

It’s not everyday when you get to see Superman and Samurai Jack fight Mojo Jojo, Dee Dee and Cow from Cow and Chicken on a trampoline together and Johnny Bravo trying to catch Penelope Pitstop’s attention.
