Boomerang Buys International Broadcasting Rights To Mush-Mush And The Mushables Coming Soon In 2020

Turner’s classic and contemporary animation channel – Boomerang has acquired the rights to a brand new CGI-animated adventure comedy series called “Mush-Mush and the Mushables”. The brand new show follows the adventures of a community of lovable mushrooms. The new show will air on international versions of Boomerang as well as other Turner-owned children’s channels such as Cartoon Network, Boing and POGO in selected markets from 2020.

The brand new show is created by Flemish artist Elfriede de Rooster and the show is produced by La Cabane Productions in France as well as Thuristar in Belgium (the same studio behind Boomerang’s My Knight and Me), London-based CAKE Entertainment is distributing the new series. The show is produced by Perrine Gauthier and directed by Joeri Christiaen (the creator of My Knight & Me), in initial batch of episodes there will be a total of 52 episodes with a runtime of 11 minutes each.

Broadcasting rights to Mush-Mush And The Mushables has already been purchased by Canal+ and Piwi+ in France; VRT-Ketnet and RTBF-OUFtivi in Belgium; RTS in Switzerland; and RTL Telekids in the Netherlands.

The chief commercial officer and managing director of CAKE Entertainment – Ed Galton, made this statement in regards of the new series:

Total Drama Daycare New Total Drama Series Coming To Cartoon Network USA In 2018

Cartoon Network USA has purchased the broadcasting to rights to the latest installment of the Total Drama franchise – Total Drama Daycare. Total Drama Daycare will re-introduce characters from the original series but as toddlers with fully formed teenage personalities, well known characters from the series including Owen and Courtney will be returning for the new series.

The new animated series is currently in production at Fresh TV in Canada and is distributed worldwide by CAKE Entertainment based in London, UK. A total of 52 episodes with a runtime of 11 minutes each will be produced. Total Drama Daycare will premiere on Cartoon Network in the United States in 2018 and will also air on Corus Entertainment’s children’s channel – Teletoon next year.

Existing Total Drama series’ include Total Drama Action, Total Drama World Tour, Total Drama: Revenge of the Island, Total Drama All-Stars and Total Drama: Pahkitew Island. Total Drama was created by Fresh TV’s Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch.

Regarding the new series, Ed Galton, CAKE’s CCO and managing director said: “It’s very exciting to be teaming up with Fresh TV, TELETOON and Cartoon Network once again. Turner has brought international broadcasting rights for TeamTo’s new animated show – Take It Easy Mike through London, UK-based distributor CAKE. The brand new show will premiere in 2018 on Boomerang feeds around the world and also on Cartoon Network, Boing and Pogo in some countries. The new show follows the life of a pug named Mike, a dog with sophisticated tastes filled with limitless energy, he wants to seduce his crush, Cindy – the neighbour’s dog, but unluckily, a bunch of trouble-makers always ruin his plans, whether its the raccoons – Freddy and Mercury, a cute kitten named Fluffy or two turtles that always appear at the worst possible moment. The new show features photo-realistic 3D CGI visuals and non-dialogue humour, a total of 78 episodes, each with a runtime of seven minutes have been produced. The new show is Turner’s latest investment in European-produced content, this year, Turner has increased its European content by 30%.

Take it Easy Mike is produced by French animation studio – TeamTO, better known for their animation work on Angelo Rules and My Knight and Me and is also produced by Canadian animation studio – Digital Dimension. CAKE handles the worldwide distribution for Take It Easy Mike excluding France, Germany and China.
