New York Toy Fair 2019 Playmates Toys Announces New Ben 10 Toys

Today (15th February), Playmates Toys, the master toy partner of Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 has announced some new toys based on the popular animated series. In 2019, Playmates Toys will be launching a new assortment of action figures, new role-play items inspired by the alien transforming watch-like device – the Omnitrix and new Micro Playsets. The new toys were announced ahead of New York Toy Fair which will open its doors tomorrow (Saturday 16th February) and will run until Tuesday 19th February, the toys will be on display at Playmates Toys booth (Booth Number: #2465) at the convention.

The highly detailed and articulated action figure product range will seen some new additions in 2019, with characters from the show’s third season. Also, the brand new Alien World Micro Playsets are two toys in one, with the ability to transform from playset mode into a wearable Omnitrix. The other addition to Ben 10’s 2019 toy range is the Alien Game Omnitrix, which features a LCD screen and four different game play modes.

Cartoon Network UK has announced a new collaboration with the London College of Fashion, student designers at the college are given the chance to create a Powerpuff Girls inspired statement outfit for the autumn/winter 2019 season and for London Fashion Week which starts tomorrow (15th February) and ends on Tuesday 19th February. The fashion items will incorporate the animated show’s message of fearlessness, determination and positivity and also the season’s current fashion trends.

15 groups of two to three students have already been chosen to create a brand new signature couture item. A shortlist of eight groups have now been chosen to have their garments manufactured and showcased at an event at Somerset House in London tomorrow (15th February).

A panel of judges including Jessica Saunders – the programme director for the Fashion Programme in the School of Design and Technology at London College of Fashion, UAL (University of the Arts London) and Leila Loumi – the international licensing director of softlines and health and beauty at Cartoon Network Enterprises will choose a first, second and third place winner and will award money to each group.
