Cartoon Network India’s Digital Series Stan Lee’s Chakra: The Invincible

Cartoon Network India has released an animated digital first on their YouTube channel – Chakra: The Invincible. Created by the legendary superhero comic book character creator – Stan Lee, Chakra: The Invincible tells the story of a young Indian orphan named Raju Rai. Determined to use science to unlock the secrets of human potential, Raju and his mentor, scientist Dr. Singh, develop a technological suit that activates the mystical Chakras of the body, unleashing superhuman abilities and powers. With his new secret identity as Chakra: The Invincible and with the use of his new found powers, he strikes fear into evildoers everywhere. The digital series is based on the animated movie of the same name – Chakra: The Invincible and is made by the same studio – Graphic India.

The first episode is entitled – Lightning Fast Pizza Delivery, Chakra orders a pizza and takes it home with him, but while flying home, he and the pizza gets struck by lightning. The episode is dubbed in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Cartoon Network India Supports Mumbai Traffic Police’s Child Road Safety Campaign

Cartoon Network India expressed their support for Mumbai Traffic Police’s child safety and security awareness programme at the police force’s annual Road Safety Patrol rally. The rally was held in the city yesterday (18th January 2018). Popular cartoon characters from the channel including Kris from Roll No.21, Ben Tennyson from Ben 10 and The Powerpuff Girls came together to help spread awareness of road safety rules and regulations by informing and entertaining 1,500 children from across the city. The Mumbai Traffic Police launched their child road safety campaign under the name and Twitter hashtag – #BachchePoliceBulayenge.

The campaign also includes a five-part video series featuring Cartoon Network’s popular characters, informing kids on how to approach and contact the police in the case of an emergency and the importance of road safety.

Cartoon Network Asia-Pacific Acquires Broadcasting Rights For New Mr Magoo Animated Series

Cartoon Network Asia-Pacific has acquired the broadcasting rights for the brand new Mr Magoo animated series. Mr. Magoo will air on Cartoon Network feeds in Southeast Asia, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and India in 2018. The new series follows the adventures of Mister Magoo, a friendly elderly man who often gets into all-sorts of mishaps due to his poor eyesight and mistakes what he sees. A disaster is waiting to happen every time he loses his glasses, although he’s oblivious to what’s actually happening, he often escapes unharmed. The classic cartoon character already had several TV series and specials and even a live-action comedy movie which was released in 1997. The brand new series is made by French animation studio – Xilam, known for producing animated series such as Oggy and the Cockroaches and Zig & Sharko.

Cartoon Network Asia-Pacific will air a total of 78 episodes each with a runtime of seven minutes. Cartoon Network Asia-Pacific has already acquired the broadcasting rights for seasons six and seven of Oggy and the Cockroaches which will also air on Cartoon Network in the Asia-Pacific region next year.
