Cartoon Network Latin America To Celebrate Its 25th Birthday With An Online 10 Hour Time Machine Marathon Of Cartoon Network’s Classic And Current Shows

After a whole month of celebrations and surprises, Cartoon Network Latin America will celebrate its birthday next Monday (30th April). On the channel’s actual birthday, Cartoon Network Latin America will be running a ten hour “Time Machine” marathon on TV, YouTube and on Facebook Live. The marathon will feature the channel’s current hit shows and classic shows from the channel’s past in reverse chronological order. The 10 hour marathon will start streaming and broadcasting from 1.30pm Colombia and Mexico, 2pm (TV) and 3pm (Online) Brazil and 3.30pm Chile/Argentina.

A total of 46 shows will air in the special programming event, the following shows will air on Cartoon Network Latin America’s Spanish language feeds: Craig of the Creek, Apple and Onion, OK K.O.! Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop

Airs everyday from 4pm, between Friday 1st December and Christmas Day (Monday 25th December).

From 1st December all the way to Christmas, kids will have a chance to collect tons of brand new Cartoon Network-themed Magiswords! Just download the MagiMobile app and collect them all every day of the week from 4pm onwards.

The special will feature back-to-back brand new episodes from Mighty Magiswords, The Powerpuff Girls, We Bare Bears, and Regular Show, including Christmas specials from your favourite Cartoon
Network shows.

The festive Christmas Special also includes two very special movie screenings: Tom and Jerry: Santa’s Little Helpers – Jerry and Tuffy are living the good life in Santa’s workshop — until the day Tom is rescued by the Claus family, causing merry mayhem everywhere! When the dust settles, can the comically destructive duo work together to save Christmas and learn the true meaning of friendship?

Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas: This heart-warming tale combines the humour and spirit of both the beloved 2003 holiday film and the hit Broadway production. The special is an all-new retelling of Buddy’s delightfully absurd yet charming story. It blends the look and feel of the stop-motion animated Christmas specials with the sharp sensibility of the modern-day classic holiday film including nine songs from the Broadway production.

New Episodes

Mighty Magiswords

Airs Weekdays at 4pm between Monday 4th December and Tuesday 19th December.

Brand new episodes of Mighty Magiswords will premiere throughout December as part of Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop special. After a flashback where we learn the origins of the Warriors’ passion for Magiswords, they return to Adventure Academy where Professor Cyrus sets V&P and their former classmates on a quest to find the Legendary Knowledge Magisword. The 22 minute episode, The Quest for Knowledge, holds a very special Legendary Sword to collect and is a must-watch for all fans.

Regular Show: In Space

Airs everyday at 7pm, between Monday 4th December and Friday 15th December.

Season 8 continues with brand new episodes as part of Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop with two feature length specials. The guys celebrate their first Christmas in space by opening presents, eating peppermint bark and telling Christmas stories. Benson wants the stories to be more Christmas-y, but the guys keep adding scary elements, which only infuriate their boss. Oh, and did we mention a Regular Epic Final Battle will be shown over two powerful episodes that will determine the fate of the universe?

We Bare Bears

Airs weekdays at 6.25pm, between Friday 1st December and Wednesday 13th December.

Season 3 continues with brand new episodes as part of Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop. In these episodes, we meet Baby Panda who lives happily in a closed off environment in order to study in solitude. When he is given a new friend called Panda 2, his worldview is shaken, which sets him off on a grand and surprising adventure. Also, our three favourite bears are left without a home after a mishap in the forest with some dangerous animals. What will the adorable brothers do without a place to stay and who will help them along the way?

The Powerpuff Girls

Airs weekdays at 4.25pm, between Monday 4th December and Friday 15th December.

Season 2 continues with brand new episodes as part of Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop. A wedding brings joy and people together, or does it? When Mojo and Barbarus announce their wedding, the girls are convinced that they’re up to no good and devise a plan to figure out exactly what the pair are up to. Blossom learns a very important life lesson when she makes a mistake and becomes afraid to try again. Luckily she has her awesome sisters around to support her and help her through her self-doubt.

Wacky Races

Airs weekends at 4.55pm, between Saturday 2nd December and Sunday 31st December

The Wacky Races crew are magically transported to different worlds and time zones in these brand new episodes. Watch as the Racers are turned into babies, leaving Dastardly stuck as their babysitter. Babies or not, the need for speed is an undeniable urge, much to Dastardly’s regret.

As the race continues through the centre of the earth to the Land That Time Forgot, the Racers are attacked by dinosaurs but are rescued at the last second by a tribe of Mole People that crown Muttley the King of their land.

An experimental time machine gives Dastardly the ability to rewind time 30 seconds at a time. Butwhat good is time travel if you are the one Racer who refuses to learn from his mistakes? During these hilarious episodes we also see the racers enter a Bollywood musical romp through an old Indian city with rib-tickling consequences.

New Looney Tunes

Airs Mondays to Thursdays at 5.45pm, between Monday 4th December and Wednesday 20th December.

Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are back with more adventures for a new generation of viewers. The brand new episodes follow all of the craziness of unlikely roommates Bugs and Daffy who have officially moved out of the woods and into the suburbs. With Sylvester, Tweety, Porky Pig and Foghorn Leghorn among their neighbours, the adventures are set to continue.

The brand new holiday special rounds up all of our favorite Christmas themed episodes across all shows in a two day extravaganza. Watch as the Wacky Races travel to the North Pole and accidentally run over Santa Claus leaving it to the Racers to take his place and save Christmas. The Scooby Doo gang enter Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” as they try and get to the bottom of the mysterious ghost tormenting Scrooge in 1843 England. Finally, in the festive episode of Chowder, Chowder hatches a plan to save Mung’s dignity after he hits rock bottom and is forced to buy a dish from Endive in order to ensure everyone has a Merry Knishmas.

This Sunday (1st October), Cartoon Network will celebrate its 25th anniversary. The channel first launched in the United States on 1st October 1992 and it was the first 24-hour network that’s purely dedicated to animation. At first, it was just an animation archive channel (but with the largest cartoon library in the world), but by the end of the 1990’s it grew into the animation powerhouse we know to day. Even to this day it’s still expanding worldwide, with new animated (and animation related live action) programming recently made in several countries including the United Kingdom, France, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Denmark, India, South Korea, Australia, Philippines and Mexico, channel launches in several countries and new languages and the further expansion of digital services including live streaming and video on-demand.

Yesterday (28/09/2017), Cartoon Network’s owners – Turner uploaded an amazing animated short video onto YouTube featuring a plethora of the channel’s most recognisable characters over the past 25 years all tightly squeezed into a small box, then they all break free to form Cartoon Network’s 25th anniversary logo.
