Cartoon Network UK Lego The Incredibles Video Game Competition

Cartoon Network UK is running a competition to promote the release of the brand new Lego The Incredibles video game, one lucky winner shall receive a Nintendo Switch (with neon-coloured controllers) and a copy of the brand new game (Nintendo Switch version), five runner-ups shall also receive a copy of the game.

The game is based on the popular Disney/Pixar 3D CGI movie franchise and follows the superhero adventures of the Parr family as if the movies have taken place in a world made of the popular construction toy – Lego. Play as Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Dash, Violet and Jack-Jack, each with their unique powers and abilities, together as a family, they’re an unstoppable force against super-villains. The video game features action packed levels and an epic hub-world. The game also available for XBOX One, PlayStation 4 features playable stories based on the original 2004 movie and the 2018 sequel – The Incredibles 2, which will be released in cinemas across the UK this Friday (13th July). The game is made by UK-based game development studio TT Games (owned by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, a sister company of Cartoon Network).

Cartoon Network Latin America Teams Up With Pixelatl For Animation Pitch Competition Girl Power: Pitch Me The Future

Cartoon Network Latin America and Mexican animation festival Pixelatl have teamed up once again for a animation pitching contest – Girl Power: Pitch Me The Future, in previous years, Cartoon Network and Pixelatl has organised pitching contests with different themes such as 2016’s Pitch Me Anything (for content on the Cartoon Network Anything app) and 2017’s Pitch Me Evolution (for YouTube content).

Girl Power: Pitch Me The Future will be an opportunity for female animators and creators to pitch their show ideas to Cartoon Network, however potential projects must fit into Cartoon Network’s editorial values, must be a original idea and different to anything else currently on the channel and must have a multiplatform approach, this may include short-form content or offer an interactive experience. The proposed project must have humour and authenticity in mind and all entrants must be 18 and over and live in a Latin American country.

To enter the pitching competition, go to the Girl Power competition page – http://www.convocatoriaspixelatl.com/girlpower and fill in the online form, up to three projects per participant are allowed, pitch bibles must be uploaded onto a storage service that don’t have an expiration date such as Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive, the URL for the pitch bible must be provided on the submission form.

All projects must be submitted by Sunday 5th August 2018 and a minimum of five finalist projects will be selected which will be announced on Friday 10th August by Pixelatl. Finalists must attend the Pixelatl Animation Festival in Cuernavaca, Mexico between 4th and 8th September 2018, where they will have the opportunity to pitch their projects in-front of Cartoon Network executives. The first place winner will get the opportunity to produce their very own pilot episode up to the value of $10,000 USD.

Throughout the 2018 Football World Cup, Cartoon Network UK is currently running a Toon Cup competition, giving viewers the chance to win prizes. Every day on screen, a football featuring the face of one of Cartoon Network’s popular cartoon characters will bounce across the bottom of the screen during a programme on the Cartoon Network UK TV channel, after seeing the ball, visit the Toon Cup section on the Cartoon Network UK website (http://www.cartoonnetwork.co.uk/tooncup) and select the football you’ve seen on screen. Different prizes are given away every day (including footballs, trainers, gift cards and clothes), courtesy of JD Sports.

Cartoon Network has released a new version of the Toon Cup browser game for this year – Toon Cup 2018, select your country’s team, select your team’s captain and players (featuring a roster of many Cartoon Network characters), compete in a mini-tournament (Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals and Final) and help improve your country’s ranking in the international leaderboard.
