This week’s episode of Cartoon Network This Week starts off with Sam doing the “Do The JP” dance, a reference to the “JPony” episode of Craig of the Creek which premiered on the Cartoon Network USA television channel on Monday (9th July). Kids using the CN Sayin’ app recorded themselves doing the JP dance, some of the video clips are featured in this week’s episode of Cartoon Network This Week.

Featured in this week’s episode are Cartoon Network’s plans for San Diego Comic Con 2018, which starts next Thursday (19th July). At the convention there will be special panels including “Superheroes of Body Positivity: A Conversation With Steven Universe’s Rebecca Sugar and Friends”, a final goodbye panel for Adventure Time, another panel for Steven Universe, and a cross-show panel for Cartoon Network’s upcoming, new and current animated productions called “Cartoon Network Creators: Drawing on Inspiration”, featuring show creators Matt Burnett and Ben Levin from Craig of the Creek, Daniel Chong from We Bare Bears, Diego Molano from Victor and Valentino and Julia Pott from Summer Camp Island. Not at San Diego Comic Con this year? Cartoon Network USA will be posting full-length videos of each panel the next day, so no-one is left behind on the latest info about the newest shows and episodes.

Cartoon Network’s booth at this year’s San Diego Comic Con (Booth Number #3735) will be Steven Universe themed, with giant Steven, Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst inflatables floating above a crystal landscape. At the booth, Cartoon Network will also be giving away Steven Universe tote bags and badges. Each day at the convention, the badges will have a different Steven Universe character design, attend San Diego Comic Con between Thursday and Sunday to get the entire set.

This week, Cartoon Network and Unilever’s personal care brand – Dove launched a Steven Universe personality quiz website called “Which Crystal Gem Are You?”, the quiz forms part of Cartoon Network’s and Dove’s Self-Esteem Project initiative, to take the quiz, visit https://www.whichcrystalgemareyou.com.

Also announced in this week’s episode, the long-awaited Adventure Time Minecraft special “Diamonds and Lemons” will premiere on Friday 20th July at 7pm ET/PT, (straight after a new episode of Teen Titans Go!) on the Cartoon Network USA television channel.

As mentioned in this week’s episode, Cartoon Network has made a music video featuring many of its cartoon characters, and they want fans to get involved in the “Cartoon Network Mashup” and colour-in each frame, to take part in the fun (site opens Monday 16th July), please visit http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/mashup. Participants can either use the online paint tool on the Mashup microsite, or print it out and use various art materials. Artwork can be either submitted online or by mail, competition instructions and rules can be found on the Mashup microsite.

Before the end of this week’s episode and one last JP dance, Sam shows us some of the autograph signing posters (some not finalised) which will be giving to Cartoon Network fans, this includes signing posters for Adventure Time, Ben 10, Steven Universe, We Bare Bears, OK K.O.! However, things seem to backfire when Darwin comes up with a plan of attack with the help of his trusted friend Gumball.

This month we also learn a few family secrets when the gang discover that their dad has been dressing up as a woman to make friends. Intrigued by the information, they make it their mission to find out more.

Craig of the Creek follows the precocious Craig as he leads his best friends, J.P. and Kelsey, on their adventures at their neighborhood creek, transforming everyday afternoons into thrilling expeditions through their vivid imaginations.

This month it is up to Craig and his friends to catch the monster that has been wreaking havoc in his grandad’s garden and also solve the mystery of the missing book. Their adventures continue as they travel to find honeysuckle in the creek only to discover a whole new world beyond the trees.

Airs Friday 7th September at 8pm.

Steven Universe is always trying to save the day with the help of the Crystal Gems but what happens when the Crystal Gems are the ones that need the help? After some shocking revelations about their former leader, Rose Quartz, the group is divided and it is up to Steven to bring the group back together.

Although Steven is not the strongest or the smartest, he will need to muster up all of his belly button power and insight to save the day and keep the guardians of the galaxy together once and for all. Catch all the magic and wonder in this brand new story arc this September.

Minor League Baseball Partners With Cartoon Network USA’s Best Summer Ever

Minor League Baseball has teamed up with Cartoon Network USA for a summer-long promotion in different parts of the country. Participating baseball teams will have three home games each in June, July or August which will feature screenings of Cartoon Network’s shows before and after each baseball game, video mashups featuring various Cartoon Network shows and characters with MiLB and ballpark experience highlights and the campaign will incorporate Cartoon Network’s Stop Bullying Speak Up campaign. Cartoon Network shows that will feature in the campaign include The Amazing World of Gumball, Craig of the Creek, Teen Titans Go! and We Bare Bears.

The campaign launched last Saturday (23rd June) and will continue through the summer up until Sunday 26th August. The campaign also extends to cover Minor League Baseball’s official website and also participating baseball teams’ websites, social media platforms and also the First Pitch App.

Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) and Cartoon Network (CN), the #1 animation network in the U.S., announced a summer-long promotion today in select markets across the country. The in-park “Best Summer Ever” program, an extension of the summer Cartoon Network campaign, seamlessly combines baseball games and CN original series, delighting both kids and adults alike. The campaign launched on Saturday, June 23, and will continue through Sunday, Aug. 26.

The participating MiLB teams will dedicate three home games each in June, July or August to activate Cartoon Network’s in-game promotions.
