More Information About The Steven Universe Podcast

As previously mentioned on the blog, Cartoon Network USA has started hosting a brand new weekly Steven Universe podcast, featuring the cast and crew from the show. The podcast is a behind the scenes inside the development of the recently Emmy-nominated show. Steven Universe fans listening to the podcast will find out more about the creative process behind the show as well as the show’s origins. The new podcast is another media offering relating to Steven Universe from Cartoon Network alongside the Steven Universe Soundtrack: Volume 1 digital album, the new upcoming console game – Save The Light and the Steven Universe: Art and Origins art book.

In the most recent episode of the podcast called “Coming of Age with Steven Universe”, Zach Callison, voice of Steven Universe, and Grace Rolek, the voice of Steven’s best friend – Connie, talk about growing up and their time growing into their roles. Both talk about when they auditioned for their voice acting roles and the moment when they were hired for the part. Both Zach and Grace talk about working with Rebecca Sugar and the Crewniverse and also their favourite episode moments and songs.

Cartoon Network continues to engage its fans on every platform with the addition of an official podcast exploring the world of Steven Universe. The all-new weekly podcast invites fans behind the curtain of the recently Emmy-nominated series for conversations with creator Rebecca Sugar and the Steven Universe cast and crew.

The Steven Universe Podcast joins a host of recent multiplatform offerings, including the Billboard chart-topping digital album Steven Universe Soundtrack: Volume 1, available on vinyl later this fall, the highly anticipated console game Save the Light, the official behind-the-scenes art book: Steven Universe: Art & Origins, and an upcoming line of Steven Universe construction sets from McFarlane toys. Steven Universe Nominated For FOX Teen Choice 2017 Award

FOX in the United States has released their nominations for Teen Choice Awards 2017 and Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe has been nominated in the Best Animated Show category, along with Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty and third-party acquisition – Sonic Boom which airs on the Boomerang TV channel in the United States. Congratulations and best of luck to Rebecca Sugar and the Crewniverse and to Justin Roiland, Dan Harmon and the Rick and Morty production team.

The Teen Choice awards is an annual event the celebrates biggest achievements in music, film, sports, television, fashion, and more, voted by viewers aged between 13 and 20 years old. To vote for either Steven Universe, Rick and Morty or Sonic Boom, use the hashtag #ChoiceAnimatedTVShow along with the name of the show you want to vote for, or alternately visit the voting section of the Teen Choice Awards website http://teenchoice.votenow.tv (website only accessible within the United States). In the category, there is some tough competition with the likes of FOX’s Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers and Disney’s Gravity Falls, so every vote is important.
