According to Canadian media news website, CARTT, Cartoon Network Canada will replace Teletoon Retro on pay-tv providers that have Teletoon Retro but not Cartoon Network on Tuesday 1st September. The French Canadian version of Teletoon Retro (Télétoon Rétro) will become Disney La Chaîne (The French Canadian version of Disney Channel), which will also launch alongside its English language counterpart on Tuesday 1st September.
As Cartoon Network Canada will have widespread distribution from 1st September, Clarence, Adventure Time, Uncle Grandpa and The Amazing World of Gumball will stop airing on Teletoon and will continue airing on Cartoon Network Canada. Meanwhile Looney Tunes, The Bugs & Tweety Show, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, The Smurfs and The Flintstones will be moving to the main Teletoon channel after the closure of Teletoon Retro.
