Cartoon Network Now Available On AIS In Thailand

Thailand-based internet television service – AIS has signed a carriage deal with Turner Asia-Pacific for Cartoon Network and CNN. AIS Play and AIS Playbox customers will now be able to enjoy Cartoon Network’s current animated hits including Ben 10, The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, The Powerpuff Girls, OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes and We Bare Bears, meanwhile CNN will offer news from around the world. In total, Turner has six channels carried on AIS which also includes Cartoon Network’s sister channel Boomerang, Warner TV and HLN.

Cartoon Network is now included in the Premier Full HD and Sportainment Full HD packages for AIS Play and the Platinum Full HD and Family Full HD packages for AIS Playbox. CNN is now included in the Premier Full HD package on AIS Play as well as the Platinum Full HD package in AIS Playbox.

Until Thursday 22nd February, AIS subscribers can enjoy Cartoon Network and CNN for free for both AIS Play and AIS Playbox.

Cartoon Network India And Amazon Prime Video Announces VOD Content Distribution Deal

Turner International India and Amazon Prime Video in India have signed a content distribution deal to add a selection of classic Cartoon Network shows onto the subscription video-on-demand service. Cartoon Network shows that will be added to the service include, Ben 10 (Original series), Ben 10: Alien Force, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Ben 10 Omniverse, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Johnny Bravo, The Powerpuff Girls (Original series), Dexter’s Laboratory, and two shows specifically produced for Indian audiences – Kumbh Karan and Roll No. 21. The shows will be added to the Kids and Family TV section of Amazon Prime Video’s service.

In a joint statement by Amazon India and Cartoon Network India, both said:

“Kids today are consuming and engaging with their favourite content across diverse screens such as computers and mobile screens. This is increasing with the emergence of new OTT platforms and the rise in use of apps for games as an entertainment and learning activity.”

In addition to the classic cartoon distribution deal with Amazon Prime Video and the recent revamp of Toonami India as a classic animation channel, Cartoon Network Enterprises in India has released a retro collection which includes a series of branded merchandise such as T-shirts, shoes, mugs, bags, badges, posters, flip-flops, mobile covers and much more. The new merchandise range features character designs from The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo and Dexter’s Laboratory.

In regards to new merchandise range, Anand Singh, the Senior Director of Cartoon Network Enterprises India made this statement:

Yahlive, a Abu Dhabi based satellite broadcasting company has announced today (02/07/2017) that they will carry Cartoon Network Arabic on the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) beam on its Yahsat 1A satellite. Yahlive already has an existing deal with Turner Broadcasting System Europe to carry CNN International on its satellite service. Yahlive used to carry a short-lived high-definition feed of Cartoon Network Arabic on its satellite service in the Middle East, the HD version of the channel launched in 2012 and has since closed.

All channels on Yahsat 1A are free-to-air and the new deal will extend coverage of Cartoon Network Arabic to new audiences. Viewers who use the Yahlive service will now get to enjoy episodes of Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, the Cartoon Network Studios Arabia animated production – Mansour and many more.

Regarding the deal with Turner, Sami Boustany, Yahlive chief executive officer said
