Warner Bros. Animation’s Get Animated: Invasion Exhibit At The Grammy Museum

The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles has opened a special exhibit yesterday (18th August) about the music in Warner Bros. and Hanna-Barbera cartoons, the special pop-up exhibit is called “Get Animated: Warner Bros. Presents The Invasion”. The exhibit offers an immersive experience complete with props and sets which makes visitors feel that they’re in a cartoon. Warner Bros. animated shows have been influential in pop-culture not only for its animation but also for the use of music, it has popularised classical music and even created mainstream hits. This is the second pop-up “Get Animated Invasion” exhibit that has been taken place, the first one was held as a side event to New York Comic Con last October.

Visitors will journey though the classical pieces heard in Looney Tunes, the 1960’s psychedelic rock of Scooby-Doo, the 1990’s R&B hits from the movie – Space Jam, the musical numbers in Animaniacs and much more. For the exhibit, The Grammy Museum and Warner Bros. have invited a bunch of artists and designers to interpret and reimagine the music from the cartoons through their own unique lens. Also there will be a section for Warner Animation Group’s upcoming feature film – Smallfoot, which features a new song by Niall Horan.

Visitors will be able to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #GetAnimatedInvasion. The exhibit will be open until Sunday 9th September, and tickets can now be purchased on the Grammy Museum’s website.
