Teen Titans Go Figure! A Brand New Mobile Game Coming This Summer

Cartoon Network Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced a brand new Teen Titans Go! mobile game called “Teen Titans Go Figure!”, which will launch this summer alongside Teen Titans Go!’s first ever motion picture – Teen Titans Go! to the Movies. The new game is a sequel to the successful battling and figure collecting mobile game – Teeny Titans and is also made by the game developer – Grumpyface Studios. In the game, players can play as one of the Teen Titans (Robin, Starfire, Raven, Cyborg or Beast Boy), as one of the Teen Titans, the player must search for clues, battle and travel to the different cities in the DC Universe to find out why the Justice League want to close down the Teeny Titans Figure Company. The game will be available to download this summer via the iTunes App Store, Google Play (Android) and Amazon App Store (Android/Amazon Fire).

Teen Titans Go! To The Movies will be released in cinemas across the United States on 27th July 2018, in the UK, the movie will be released in cinemas on 3rd August 2018.

Cartoon Network Announces New Steven Universe Save The Light Gem Villain Hessonite

Today (23/10/2017), Cartoon Network USA has announced a new villain that will make an appearance in the upcoming console game – Save The Light. The new villain is called Hessonite and is a commander from the gem’s homeworld and commands the Peridot lookalike character – Squaridot who has traveled to Earth to turn the Prism back into a powerful weapon after taking it away from Steven. In the game, Hessonite will be voiced by the Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress, Christine Baranski.

Save The Light is a sequel to the mobile game Attack The Light, the new game is a collaboration between the creator of Steven Universe – Rebecca Sugar and games developer – Grumpyface Studios. The game will feature characters from the show and 3D scenery as featured in the show such as Beach City, Strawberry Battlefields, the Great North and many more. Organise a group of playable characters including Steven, Connie, Peridot and Greg, level up characters and craft new gear to fight off foes more easily. Fight against enemies with a battling system the combines real-time and turn-based strategy and create character fusions including Stevonnie (Steven and Connie), Opal (Amethyst and Pearl), Sardonyx (Garnet and Pearl), Smokey Quartz (Steven and Amethyst) and Sugilite (Garnet and Amethyst)

Save The Light will be released for PlayStation 4 in North and Latin America on Tuesday 31st October and will be released for XBOX One worldwide on Friday 3rd November. At present, there’s no release date for PlayStation 4 outside North and Latin America.

Cartoon Network has released a first look at a new character in the world of Steven Universe. Developed and written in collaboration with creator Rebecca Sugar, Hessonite – an original and mysterious Homeworld Gem new to the lore – first appears in the upcoming console game Steven Universe: Save the Light, a RPG set in the world of the beloved series.

A pompous Homeworld commander, Hessonite directs the previously showcased Squaridot and has come to Earth to turn the Prism back into a powerful weapon after taking it from Steven. She is voiced in the game by Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress, Christine Baranski.

Save the Light is a sequel to the hit mobile RPG Attack the Light with an original storyline crafted with Rebecca Sugar and developed by Grumpyface Studios. Discover fresh and familiar characters and enemies while exploring a vast variety of 3D environments from the series – including Beach City, Strawberry Battlefields, the Great North and beyond.

Assemble a party of unique playable heroes – including newcomers Connie, Peridot and Greg Universe – and level them up over time with new abilities and craftable gear. Friday this week (01/09/2017) was the first day of the PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) West Video Game Convention in Seattle, Washington, USA. The first event was a panel about two upcoming releases from Cartoon Network Games – Steven Universe: Save the Light and OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes.

OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes creator – Ian Jones-Quartey was at the panel to discuss the design and development process behind the new video game, he was joined with Nathan Vella, Co-founder & president of Capybara Games – the developers of OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes, Chris Graham, the creative director and founder of Grumpyface Studios, the game developer for Steven Universe: Save The Light and finally, Mario Piedra, the creative director of Cartoon Network Games. During the panel’s live stream, in-game footage and artwork from both games were shown. The development of the both games took a different approach to the way licensed games are usually produced, where the creators of the licensed property is directly involved in the game’s production and creative process. There’s also demos for OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes and Steven Universe: Save The Light for people to play at the convention.

Summary Of The Cartoon Network Panel At PAX West 2017

In February 2016, Cartoon Network hosted a game jam in Portland, Oregon. A game jam is an event where a large gathering of game developers produce video games within a short space of time, 200 independent game developers produced games based on Cartoon Network Studios’ Lakewood Plaza Turbo; the animated short that became OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. Ian mentioned this at the start of the panel to explain how the idea for a new game came to fruition. At the panel, Ian explains he has an open approach to the development of OK K.O.!’s universe, anyone who contributes ideas to OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes, whether its in a game or in an episode, takes part in the franchise’s world building. Capybara Games’ very own artists had experience working in the animation industry, and used their expertise on the new OK K.O.! game, in addition, the show itself was inspired by video games, which means the concept was easily converted into an actual video game. The brand new OK K.O.! game is a RPG adventure/brawler game with each quest in the game equating to a mini episode of OK K.O!. OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes will be released for XBOX One, PS4 and Steam for the PC.

Steven Universe: Save The Light is developed by Grumpyface Studios, the game studio has already developed mobile games based on Cartoon Network’s properties including The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show and The Powerpuff Girls, and they’re fans of Steven Universe too. Chris Graham from Grumpyface, explains that fusions will be a feature in the new Steven Universe game, which is an important character building and plot-driving feature of the TV show, fusions will include Sardonyx (a fusion of Pearl and Garnet), Stevonnie (Steven and Connie) and many more. In the game, Peridot can be used to make turrets, landmines and debuffers. The game introduces a new Peridot-like enemy named Squaridot, the character behaves in a similar way to Peridot used to before she joined the Crystal Gems. The new game also features the original voice acting talent from the show. The gameplay was partly inspired by Nintendo’s Paper Mario and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker games. Steven Universe: Save The Light will be released for XBOX One and PS4 consoles.
