Cartoon Network Latin America To Celebrate Its 25th Birthday With An Online 10 Hour Time Machine Marathon Of Cartoon Network’s Classic And Current Shows

After a whole month of celebrations and surprises, Cartoon Network Latin America will celebrate its birthday next Monday (30th April). On the channel’s actual birthday, Cartoon Network Latin America will be running a ten hour “Time Machine” marathon on TV, YouTube and on Facebook Live. The marathon will feature the channel’s current hit shows and classic shows from the channel’s past in reverse chronological order. The 10 hour marathon will start streaming and broadcasting from 1.30pm Colombia and Mexico, 2pm (TV) and 3pm (Online) Brazil and 3.30pm Chile/Argentina.

A total of 46 shows will air in the special programming event, the following shows will air on Cartoon Network Latin America’s Spanish language feeds: Craig of the Creek, Apple and Onion, OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes, Mighty Magiswords, Ben 10 (Reboot), The Powerpuff Girls (Reboot), We Bare Bears, Jorel’s Brother, Clarence, Uncle Grandpa, Steven Universe, The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Generator Rex, Sym-Bionic Titan, The Secret Saturdays, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Chowder, Squirrel Boy, Camp Lazlo, The Life and Times of Juniper Lee, My Gym Partner’s a Monkey, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Megas XLR, Codename: Kids Next Door, Whatever Happened To Robot Jones?, Samurai Jack, Time Squad, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Sheep in the Big City, Ed, Edd and Eddy, Mike, Lu and Og, Courage The Cowardly Dog, I am Weasel, The Powerpuff Girls (Original Series), Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Dexter’s Laboratory, The What A Cartoon Show and finally pre-Cartoon Network animated shows from the animation studio that started it all – Hanna Barbera, including The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Top Cat and also MGM’s Tom and Jerry.

All this month, Cartoon Network Latin America and Cartoon Network Brazil are celebrating their 25th Anniversary, with special marathons and even surprises. On Tuesday 24th April at 8pm Brasilia Time, there will be a special YouTube and Facebook live stream with Juliano Enrico, the creator of Cartoon Network Brazil’s original series – Jorel’s Brother (Brazilian Portuguese title: Irmão do Jorel).

On the following day (Wednesday 25th April), the rest of Latin America will have their very own live stream with the creator of Villainous – Alan Ituriel at 8pm Argentina/Chile and 6pm Mexico/Colombia. Spanish speaking Latin American users can use the hashtag #CNEnVivo to get involved in the conversation on social media. Brazilian users can use the hashtag #AoVivaçoCN on social media.

Cartoon Network Studios’ We Bare Bears And Cartoon Network Latin America’s Jorel’s Brother Selected For Annecy Animation Festival 2018 TV Films In Competition

Cartoon Network’s worldwide hit show – We Bare Bears and Cartoon Network Latin America’s and Copa Studio’s Jorel’s Brother (Original Brazilian Portuguese Title: Irmão do Jorel) have been selected to be screened and showcased at Annecy Animation Festival 2018. Both We Bare Bears and Jorel’s Brother will both take part in the TV films competition. The Annecy Animation Festival is considered to be one of the largest and influential animation industry events in the world, the festival is an opportunity for animation studios to promote their work, for broadcasters to buy new shows, for studios to seek new talent or for potential show creators to find inspiration. The festival is also one of the most important events on Cartoon Network’s yearly calendar, the festival is held every year in Annecy, France and this year, it will take place between 11th and 16th June.

The episode of We Bare Bears that will be shown at the festival is the Annie Award winning episode – “Panda’s Art”, in the episode Panda paints a portrait of Charlie for his art class and gives it to Charlie as a gift. But after an art dealer offers to buy the painting, Panda has to get it back from Charlie. The episode of Jorel’s Brother that will be shown at the festival will be “Special Eject” (Original Brazilian Portuguese Title: Eject Especial), in the episode, a giant birthday cake, a puppet and Japanese heroes invade Japan after being ejected from a VCR where they were recorded. Jorel’s brother needs to race against time to save Japan.

Also, Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken is also in the “TV Films in Competition” category with their Walking Dead special – “Look Who’s Walking”, the episode is a parody of the hit horror show – The Walking Dead and is a collaboration between Robot Chicken creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich and The Walking Dead creator/executive producer Robert Kirkman and showrunner/executive producer Scott M. Gimple. The Walking Dead’s original cast also voice act their roles in the special.
