New Show

Summer Camp Island

New show premieres on Saturday 18th August at 11am Co/Ar/Cl, 10am Mx, 1pm Br and 5pm Co, 7pm Ar/Cl, 4pm Mx, repeated on Sunday at 3pm Co/Ar/Cl/Mx/Br.

Oscar and his best friend Hedgehog have just been dropped at Summer Camp for the first time. Once the parents leave the island, all of the strangeness lurking beneath the surface starts to come out. Aliens exist, horses become unicorns, there are monsters under the bed, and the camp counselors are witches. Away from their parents for the first time, Oscar and Hedgehog must summon all their courage and spirit of adventure as they bond with their fellow campers to explore the fun and the dangers of their magical new home.

From Next Monday (11th June) to Saturday 16th June, is this year’s Annecy Animation Festival in Annecy, France. The Annecy Animation Festival is considered to be one of the largest and influential animation industry events in the world, the festival is an opportunity for animation studios to promote their work, for broadcasters to buy new shows, for studios to seek new talent or for potential show creators to find inspiration. The festival is also one of the most important events on Cartoon Network’s yearly calendar.

As with recent years at the Annecy Animation Festival, there will some Cartoon Network related events which will be mostly held on Thursday 14th June. On Thursday at 9.30am, there will be a session with Pablo Zuccarino, the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cartoon Network Latin America.

Later on Thursday at 10.15am, Cecilia Persson VP, Programming & Content Strategy, Turner EMEA Kids / Acquisitions & Co-Production, International will be speaking at the festival and will be representing the Cartoon Network’s international divisions in terms of programming, acquisitions and co-productions.

During the late afternoon at 4pm on Thursday, there will be a special panel organised by Cartoon Network celebrating woman in the animation industry called “Cartoon Network Celebrate Women in the World of Animation”, speaking at the event will be Eva Lee Wallberg – the creator of The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe, Lauren Sassen – the creative director for Cartoon Network Studios’ We Bare Bears, Julia Pott – the creator of Cartoon Network’s newest animated series – Summer Camp Island and Patricia Hidalgo – Chief Content Officer, Turner EMEA & International Kids Strategy.

Cartoon Network Latin America To Celebrate Its 25th Birthday With An Online 10 Hour Time Machine Marathon Of Cartoon Network’s Classic And Current Shows

After a whole month of celebrations and surprises, Cartoon Network Latin America will celebrate its birthday next Monday (30th April). On the channel’s actual birthday, Cartoon Network Latin America will be running a ten hour “Time Machine” marathon on TV, YouTube and on Facebook Live. The marathon will feature the channel’s current hit shows and classic shows from the channel’s past in reverse chronological order. The 10 hour marathon will start streaming and broadcasting from 1.30pm Colombia and Mexico, 2pm (TV) and 3pm (Online) Brazil and 3.30pm Chile/Argentina.

A total of 46 shows will air in the special programming event, the following shows will air on Cartoon Network Latin America’s Spanish language feeds: Craig of the Creek, Apple and Onion, OK K.O.!
