Cartoon Network Studios Renews Ben 10 For A Fourth Season

Today (10th January), Cartoon Network Studios has announced that they’ve renewed the popular animated sci-fi franchise Ben 10 for a fourth season, which means its still “hero time” at least for the foreseeable future, Ben 10 season four will debut in 2020. In the new season, Ben, his cousin Gwen and Grandpa Max will travel to different locations all over the world including Italy, Japan and Mexico. Season four will keep fans entertained with new alien transformations and alien battles, also Ben will find a special key that will upgrade his Omnitrix to add “Omni-Kix” armor enhancements to his aliens giving him some extra defence in battle.

Ben 10 is currently in its third season, more episodes will be airing later in January on Cartoon Network feeds in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region, the United States and Latin America will follow in Feburary and the Asia-Pacific region in March. There’s plenty in the third season for fans to get excited about including new aliens, vehicles and villains and the debut of a new character that originated from the original series of Ben 10 before the reboot – Kevin 11, who will be Ben’s 11-year-old nemesis in upcoming episodes. Kevin 11 developed a custom version of the Omnitrix called the “Anti-trix” of which he can activate to produce alternative versions of Ben 10’s aliens. Season three will have a lot of travelling too, as Ben and his family will go on trips around the world on the new “Omni-Copter” and they will travel to Asia, Europe and South America.

In the third quarter of 2018, Ben 10 was watched by 128 million people with 56 million children watching the show worldwide. The show is produced by Cartoon Network Studios and created and executive produced by Man of Action Entertainment (Big Hero 6, Generator Rex, Mega Man: Fully Charged, Bakugan Battle Planet), with John Fang (Mixels, Generator Rex) as executive producer.

Cartoon Network is expanding the world of Ben 10 with a season four greenlight to take “hero time” to all-new levels. Tomorrow (5th August) at 6.30am ET/PT, Cartoon Network USA will be premiering a brand new show – Mega Man: Fully Charged. The brand new 3D CGI animated series is aimed at kids aged between 6 and 11 years old and also adults who grew up playing Mega Man video game series. Mega Man: Fully Charged features exciting new technologies and robots, and the introduction of Mega Man’s alter-ego, Aki Light, a normal, upbeat, schoolboy robot with nano-core technology that allows him to transform into the mega-powered hero Mega Man. With his Mega Buster arm cannon and iconic helmet, Mega Man battles the wickedest villains Silicon City has to offer. Well known characters including Mega Man’s robot dog – Rush will be in the new series and also new characters such as Mega Mini and Suna Light.

The new Mega Man series is co-produced by Canada’s DHX Media and the U.S. division of Japan’s Dentsu Entertainment. The new show is executive produced by Man of Action Entertainment – creators of Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 and Generator Rex.

Tomorrow, Cartoon Network USA will be premiering the new series with a two part episode – Throwing Shade, ten new episodes from the new show including Throwing Shade can now be viewed on the Cartoon Network app. New episodes of Mega Man: Fully Charged will air every Sunday at 6.30am ET/PT, with two new episodes airing each week.

Episode Descriptions And Sneak Peek Clips

Throwing Shade Part 1: Sgt. Night publicly criticizes Dr. Light’s views on human & robot unity during a school assembly, invoking the ire of Fire Man and forcing Silicon City’s newly minted hero, Mega Man, to intervene.

Throwing Shade Part 2: Mega Man stops Fire Man by replicating his powers and fighting fire with fire. Unfortunately, Mega Man also learns that he can replicate a robot’s mental state as well, and must get his own anger under control to win. Defeated, Fire Man reports back to his secret master, Sgt. Night!

Drilling Deep: At school, Aki struggles with the side effects of his newly replicated Drill Man schematics; later, as Mega Man, he learns to control his Fire Powers in thwarting Drill Man’s assault on Skyraisers Inc.

Video Drone: Mega Man must stop Hypno Woman from turning the students and teachers at Silicon Central into her mindless drones.

Please Rush Home: A misunderstanding between Mega Man and Rush ends in the robo-pup running away from home, only to be reunited and reconciled during a confrontation with Wave Man.

Blaze of Glory: Mega Man and Suna must overcome a sibling dispute over what to do on their day off in order to stop Fire Man from overheating the city.

Nice on Ice: An “unscheduled” TV appearance not only lands Aki in hot water for missing class, but sets Ice Man on a misguided mission to “unite” (i.e. freeze together) every human and robot couple in the city!

Hard Times: Mega Man must stop Blasto Woman from plundering the Museum of the Hard Age and its cache of military grade weaponry.

Tripping the Light Fantastic: Mega Man tries to save Dr. Light from a date with “Mari,” who’s actually Hypno Woman in disguise!

Running Wild: Student elections get blown out of proportion (literally) when Air Man lends his support to Aki’s rival for class president, Peter Punk.
