New Cartoon Network Vinyl Figures From Titan Merchandise To Be Released In August 2018
In August 2018, UK-based pop-culture merchandising company – Titan Merchandise will be releasing a third wave of Cartoon Network three-inch blind-boxed vinyl figures.
The new blind boxed set will include figures of The Powerpuff Girls (Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup); the Powerpuff Girls’ arch-nemesis – Mojo Jojo; Samurai Jack and series antagonist – Aku; Johnny Bravo, Bloo from Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends, Adventure Time’s Marceline The Vampire Queen and Ice King and finally Grizz, Ice Bear and Panda from We Bare Bears. Some figures may include a character-specific accessory, and there’s rare figures to collect too.
Cartoon Network Turkey 10th Anniversary On 28th January
On Sunday 28th January 2018, Cartoon Network Turkey will celebrate its tenth anniversary with one big birthday event. On the channel’s birthday, Cartoon Network Turkey will be airing older classic shows including Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo, Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends, Dexter’s Laboratory, Squirrel Boy, The Life and Times of Juniper Lee and Camp Lazlo. Every day at 2pm until 28th January, Cartoon Network Turkey will be airing a daily one-hour classics block.
Cartoon Network Turkey launched in 2008 and was the first step into localising the brand for audiences in the Middle East, which also led to the launch of Cartoon Network Arabic in 2010. Cartoon Network Turkey is free-to-air and is jointly owned by Turner Broadcasting System Europe and Turkish media company Doğan Yayın Holding.

This Sunday (1st October), Cartoon Network will celebrate its 25th anniversary. The channel first launched in the United States on 1st October 1992 and it was the first 24-hour network that’s purely dedicated to animation. At first, it was just an animation archive channel (but with the largest cartoon library in the world), but by the end of the 1990’s it grew into the animation powerhouse we know to day. Even to this day it’s still expanding worldwide, with new animated (and animation related live action) programming recently made in several countries including the United Kingdom, France, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Denmark, India, South Korea, Australia, Philippines and Mexico, channel launches in several countries and new languages and the further expansion of digital services including live streaming and video on-demand.
Yesterday (28/09/2017), Cartoon Network’s owners – Turner uploaded an amazing animated short video onto YouTube featuring a plethora of the channel’s most recognisable characters over the past 25 years all tightly squeezed into a small box, then they all break free to form Cartoon Network’s 25th anniversary logo. The characters in the special short video include: Buttercup from The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter from Dexter’s Laboratory, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Amethyst from Steven Universe, Mordecai, Rigby and Pops from Regular Show, Pizza Steve from Uncle Grandpa, Gumball and Darwin from The Amazing World of Gumball, Jake from Adventure Time, K.O. from OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes, Starfire from Teen Titans/Teen Titans Go!, Bubbie from The Marvellous Misadventures of Flapjack, Johnny Bravo, Grey Matter from Ben 10 also the Omnitrix, Lazlo from Camp Lazlo, Plank from Ed, Edd n Eddy, a Zombie Pumpkin Magisword from Mighty Magiswords, Chowder and Shnitzel from Chowder, Grizz, Panda and Ice Bear from We Bare Bears, Clarence and finally, Bloo from Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends.
