Boing Programming Block Coming To Chilevision January 2018

Turner Broadcasting System Latin America owned channel – Chilevision, which broadcasts in Chile, will be reintroducing a children’s cartoon programming block, but this time, it won’t be a Cartoon Network branded block, the channel launched a short-lived “Zona Cartoon Network” block in 2016.

Instead, the block will use a sister brand of Cartoon Network which is exclusively used in the Southern Europe and Africa region – Boing. Turner has Boing branded channels in France, Italy, Africa and also in Spain, where it is used as Turner’s primary kids brand, the channel offers a variety of programming of mostly animation and some live-action, Boing in most countries tend to air older Cartoon Network originals such as the original Cartoon Cartoons and in some cases, older episodes of current Cartoon Network shows. However, Boing in Spain, focuses more on Cartoon Network’s current programming and airs new episodes on weekend mornings.

The new Boing block on Chilevision will include programming from both Cartoon Network and Boomerang, confirmed shows include The Powerpuff Girls, Tom and Jerry, Masha and the Bear and Ben 10. The new Boing block is expected to debut on the first weekend of 2018 (Saturday 6th January). Boing’s current branding and presentation was developed by design studio – Lumbre in neighbouring Argentina.
