Cartoon Network USA New Digital Production And Product Management Leadership

On Wednesday this week (17/01/2018), Turner USA has promoted four Cartoon Network and Adult Swim executives into new positions. For Cartoon Network USA, Sherri Glass has been promoted to vice president of digital production and Beau Teague has also been promoted to vice president of product management. Digital production and digital products are increasingly becoming more important for the network, in recent years, there has been a shift and emphasis on digital services including the Cartoon Network app and Cartoon Network Anything which are platforms used to showcase new content. Adult Swim USA has promoted Kim Manning to vice president of programming and Liz Pate to vice president of production operations for games and connected devices.

In her new role, Sherri Glass will oversee all aspects of production for Cartoon Network games, mobile apps and connected devices. She will lead a team of producers, project managers and the quality assurance team that create, implement and oversee a wide array of digital products including over three dozen console, mobile and web games per year, the Emmy award-winning Cartoon Network video app, CartoonNetwork.com and digital experiences for Cartoon Network’s original programming series including Mighty Magiswords and OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. Sherri Glass joined Turner in 1998 as the assistant to the vice president for on-air production.

As vice president of product management, Beau Teague will be responsible for managing Cartoon Network’s digital products, he will listen to suggestions from Cartoon Network’s fans while still focusing on the goals of the business. Specially, he will focus on the Cartoon Network video app for mobile and connected devices, mobile games, and innovative new apps like such as the Mighty Magiswords Magimobile app. Teague began his career at Turner at the company’s former GameTap division where he helped to design the gaming service.

As vice president of programming at Adult Swim USA, Kim Manning is responsible for overseeing day-to-day scheduling for Cartoon Network’s young adult brand on both linear and digital platforms. She will also oversee acquisitions of pre-produced series for Adult Swim and the network’s anime programming block, Toonami. Kim Manning joined Cartoon Network USA in 2002. Liz Pate will oversee all aspects of production for Adult Swim’s games, mobile apps and connected devices. She joined Adult Swim Games as supervising producer in 2007 and was later became director of production.

Today, Turner’s Adult Swim and Cartoon Network announced promotions of four key executives across both networks that oversee content strategy and production. Both networks, known for award-winning original content, continue to expand their programming across all platforms.

At Adult Swim, the network is promoting Kim Manning to vice president of programming and Liz Pate to vice president of production operations for games and connected devices. For Cartoon Network, Sherri Glass is elevated to vice president of digital production and Beau Teague to vice president of product management. All previously held senior director roles at the networks and are based in Atlanta, GA.

As vice president, programming, Manning is responsible for overseeing day-to-day scheduling and strategic positioning of programming content for Adult Swim, on both linear and digital platforms. She also oversees acquisitions of pre-produced series for Adult Swim and the network’s anime programming block, Toonami. Manning joined Cartoon Network in 2002.

In her new role, Pate is responsible for the group’s tactical leadership and all operational aspects of gaming and connected devices for the network. Pate joined Adult Swim Games as supervising producer in 2007 and was later promoted to director of production. Over the last 10 years, Adult Swim Games has published more than 100 games across PC, mobile, Steam and console platforms and is currently developing new experiences based on original IP and innovative technology.

In her newly elevated role as vice president of digital production, Glass will oversee all aspects of production for Cartoon Network games, mobile apps and connected devices. She will lead a team of producers, project managers and QA that create, implement and oversee a wide array of digital products including over three dozen console, mobile and web games per year; the Emmy award-winning Cartoon Network video app; CartoonNetwork.com and digital experiences for Cartoon Network’s original programming series including Mighty Magiswords and OK K.O.! As vice president of product management, Teague will be responsible for establishing and managing the strategy of Cartoon Network’s digital products by balancing the needs of the fans with the goals of the business. He will focus his efforts on the Cartoon Network video app for mobile and connected devices, mobile games, and innovative new digital products like Cartoon Network’s Magimobile, the network’s first app that interacts directly with the linear television series, Mighty Magiswords. A ten-year veteran of Turner, Teague began his career at GameTap, where he helped design and manage the gaming subscription service’s user experience (UX).

Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop

Airs everyday from 4pm, between Friday 1st December and Christmas Day (Monday 25th December).

From 1st December all the way to Christmas, kids will have a chance to collect tons of brand new Cartoon Network-themed Magiswords! Just download the MagiMobile app and collect them all every day of the week from 4pm onwards.

Mighty Magiswords

Airs Weekdays at 4pm between Monday 4th December and Tuesday 19th December.

Brand new episodes of Mighty Magiswords will premiere throughout December as part of Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop special. After a flashback where we learn the origins of the Warriors’ passion for Magiswords, they return to Adventure Academy where Professor Cyrus sets V&P and their former classmates on a quest to find the Legendary Knowledge Magisword. The 22 minute episode, The Quest for Knowledge, holds a very special Legendary Sword to collect and is a must-watch for all fans.

Regular Show: In Space

Airs everyday at 7pm, between Monday 4th December and Friday 15th December.

Season 8 continues with brand new episodes as part of Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop with two feature length specials. The guys celebrate their first Christmas in space by opening presents, eating peppermint bark and telling Christmas stories. Benson wants the stories to be more Christmas-y, but the guys keep adding scary elements, which only infuriate their boss. Oh, and did we mention a Regular Epic Final Battle will be shown over two powerful episodes that will determine the fate of the universe?

We Bare Bears

Airs weekdays at 6.25pm, between Friday 1st December and Wednesday 13th December.

Season 3 continues with brand new episodes as part of Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop. In these episodes, we meet Baby Panda who lives happily in a closed off environment in order to study in solitude. When he is given a new friend called Panda 2, his worldview is shaken, which sets him off on a grand and surprising adventure. Also, our three favourite bears are left without a home after a mishap in the forest with some dangerous animals. What will the adorable brothers do without a place to stay and who will help them along the way?

Season 2 continues with brand new episodes as part of Santa’s Rockin’ Workshop. A wedding brings joy and people together, or does it? When Mojo and Barbarus announce their wedding, the girls are convinced that they’re up to no good and devise a plan to figure out exactly what the pair are up to. Blossom learns a very important life lesson when she makes a mistake and becomes afraid to try again. Luckily she has her awesome sisters around to support her and help her through her self-doubt.

The Wacky Races crew are magically transported to different worlds and time zones in these brand new episodes. Watch as the Racers are turned into babies, leaving Dastardly stuck as their babysitter. Babies or not, the need for speed is an undeniable urge, much to Dastardly’s regret.

As the race continues through the centre of the earth to the Land That Time Forgot, the Racers are attacked by dinosaurs but are rescued at the last second by a tribe of Mole People that crown Muttley the King of their land.

An experimental time machine gives Dastardly the ability to rewind time 30 seconds at a time. Butwhat good is time travel if you are the one Racer who refuses to learn from his mistakes? During these hilarious episodes we also see the racers enter a Bollywood musical romp through an old Indian city with rib-tickling consequences.

Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are back with more adventures for a new generation of viewers. The brand new episodes follow all of the craziness of unlikely roommates Bugs and Daffy who have officially moved out of the woods and into the suburbs. With Sylvester, Tweety, Porky Pig and Foghorn Leghorn among their neighbours, the adventures are set to continue.

The brand new holiday special rounds up all of our favorite Christmas themed episodes across all shows in a two day extravaganza. The Scooby Doo gang enter Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” as they try and get to the bottom of the mysterious ghost tormenting Scrooge in 1843 England. Finally, in the festive episode of Chowder, Chowder hatches a plan to save Mung’s dignity after he hits rock bottom and is forced to buy a dish from Endive in order to ensure everyone has a Merry Knishmas.

During this summer (starting from yesterday, 01/07/2017) and for the first time ever, fans using the Mighty Magiswords MagiMobile app will be able to collect swords from other Cartoon Network shows and not just Mighty Magiswords, this includes Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Teen Titans Go!, Ben 10, The Amazing World of Gumball, We Bare Bears and new upcoming show OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes which will premiere on 1st August. Each show will have a unique sword, including a sword featuring Gumball’s face if the app is used during an episode of The Amazing World of Gumball, or a bearstack shaped sword when the app is used while watching We Bare Bears or a Heatblast sword when used during Ben 10.

New episodes of Mighty Magiswords are airing every evening at 4pm ET/PT up until Sunday 23rd July, brand new shorts are available on the Cartoon Network app featuring Vambre’s and Prohyas’ childhood memory flashbacks back to when they attended Adventure Academy.
