TBS’s Final Space To Premiere On Netflix UK This Friday 20th July

Great news for British animation fans who’ve been hearing nothing but good news about the brand new show from TBS – Final Space, because the show will be added onto the UK version of Netflix this Friday (20th July). The whole of season one will be available to stream for all Netflix UK subscribers. Netflix UK acquired the rights to the animated sci-fi comedy series after signing a deal with Turner, Netflix and Turner previously struck a similar deal for Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty.

The animated series follows Gary, a spaceman who is working off a prison sentence, later he meets a cute new alien friend named Mooncake, but the evil Lord Commander wants to tap into Mooncake’s untapped planet destroying abilities for his own nefarious purposes. Gary is also on an intergalactic quest to unlock the mystery of “Final Space”, which is the mystery of where the universe actually ends and if it actually does exist.

Adult Swim’s hit animated sci-fi comedy – Rick and Morty will have more merchandise coming soon. Cartoon Network Enterprises – the representative of the Rick and Morty brand in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region has signed up more merchandise partners.

For the UK market, Poetic Gem is producing a range of menswear and underwear, CID U.K. is offering menswear and Roy Lowe will offer a Rick and Morty sock range. In Germany, Spreadshirt and CID’s German division will be offering menswear. In terms of pan-European deals, Just Funky will launch a range of homeware and kitchenware. The new merchandise will start to rollout this autumn and winter and will be available at independent and specialist retailers, supermarkets and online stores.

While commenting on the popularity of Rick and Morty and the new product range, Johanne Broadfield from Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA said:

“Rick and Morty season three is without doubt one of the most anticipated animated series right now. Its established success Stateside, and the global social buzz around the brand, is creating significant demand with Millennial audiences in European markets. We’re confident it has the potential to be one of the hottest properties at BLE this year.”

Also, Rick and Morty has moved from FOX and now will be airing on Comedy Central UK from this Friday (13th October) at 10.30pm, all of Rick and Morty Season Three is now available to watch on Netflix UK. In Germany, Rick and Morty airs on Turner’s TNT Comedy channel.

This summer, Cartoon Network UK are airing new episodes of Teen Titans Go! and Nexo Knights. New episodes of Teen Titans Go! air every weekday, tune in at 9am and 6pm to find out what new silly antics Robin and the Teen Titans gang are up to whether its partying or singing ridiculous songs, when they should be responsible superheroes with the task of protecting the great metropolis of Jump City.

In new episodes of Nexo Knights, Jestro and Monstrox are up to their usual evil tricks again by bringing stone to life and the leader of the Nexo Knights – Clay has turned into stone and by the looks of things he may of switched sides, will the remaining Nexo Knights team up and save Knighton from an army of stone monsters? The battle of good and evil rages on! New episodes of Nexo Knights air from tomorrow (Monday 31st July) and airs weekdays at 3pm.


Also on Tuesday (1st August) at 12pm, Cartoonito will be premiering a new show called “Popples”, the show is based on the popular 1980’s multicoloured soft toy with the ability to roll into a ball as a way of moving around. The new series originally premiered on Netflix in the United States in 2015 and is now having a UK TV premiere on Cartoonito. Popples are creatures that love fun, full of energy and always want to help each other and the show’s main characters Lulu, Izzy, Bubbles, Sunny and Yikes are no exception. The show is animated by French studio Zagtoon, the same animation studio behind Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.


Also, from Tuesday 1st August from 8am, Cartoonito will be airing Fireman Sam and Masha and the Bear episodes in its “Mornings on Cartoonito” programming block.
