Introducing the brand new Cartoon Network original series Summer Camp Island, a wildly imaginative animated series that follows Oscar and his best friend Hedgehog, who have just been dropped off at their first ever sleepaway camp.

Away from their parents, the two friends must summon all their courage to navigate mysteries and wonders of this magical camp where camp counsellors are witches, horses become unicorns, and monsters live under the bed. Not all camps offer the opportunity to swim with a talking shark in the swimming pool, crawl under the bed into a different universe, or make friends with the moon, but on Summer Camp Island, anything can happen.

We Bare Bears

New episodes air from Monday 3rd December, airs weekdays at 6pm (NZ), 4pm (AUS).

Our favourite bear brothers are back this December with brand new episodes. On Darrell’s big day, the bears are given the auspicious duty of being the combined Best-Man. The bears find it a bit tricky to keep up with their role and fumble their way around the ceremony with hilarious consequences.

The technologically-challenged bears are on a desperate mission to finally get a mum. They use an app that brings a mum right to their door but will the experience be everything they hoped and wished for?

After realising that their lives are unmanageably hectic, the bears decide to take a break and attend school hoping that this will provide the long awaited break that they hoped for.

Christmas Programming Stunt: A Very Beary Christmas

Airs daily from Saturday 1st December at 4pm (NZ), 2pm (AUS).

To celebrate the holidays, Cartoon Network is hosting a very beary special We Bare Bears takeover. For the 25 days leading up to Christmas, Cartoon Network will show brand new, and fan-favourite episodes of We Bare Bears, every hour, every day from 4-9pm! (2-7pm AUS).

The special also includes brand new Christmas themed episodes of Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, Unikitty! and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

In Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Swallow Falls gets a special visit from Santa, but he is not out to deliver Christmas cheer just yet. He needs to firstly challenge Lobster Claws and take back his turf to save Christmas.

Our favourite trio are also back to celebrate the holidays in The Powerpuff Girls. The girls are on a frantic Christmas Eve race to find the perfect present for the Professor. With such little time, will the girls be able to find an impeccable gift or will they be empty handed on Christmas day?

Adult Swim And Crunchyroll To Produce New Blade Runner Anime Series

WarnerMedia properties – Turner’s Adult Swim and Ellation’s Crunchyroll have partnered with Alcon Television Group to produce and distribute a new anime series based on the 2017 Oscar-winning movie Blade Runner 2049 (which is a sequel of the 1982 neo-noir science fiction film – Blade Runner) called Blade Runner: Black Lotus.

Blade Runner: Black Lotus will have thirteen 30-minute episodes produced by Japanese animation studio Sola Digital Arts (the same studio behind the new Ultraman anime series coming to Netflix in 2019). Shinji Aramaki (director of three Appleseed anime movies) and Kenji Kamiyama (director of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) will direct all episodes of the premiere season, both will work on the new anime after the upcoming Ghost in the Shell series reboot. Shinichiro Watanabe (director of Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) will be serving as a creative producer on the new series.

At present, the plot for Blade Runner: Black Lotus remains a secret, however, the producers did disclose some info about the show, the new series will take place in the year 2032 and will include some characters from the Blade Runner universe.

Adult Swim will have the worldwide rights (excluding Asia) to distribute the English dubbed version of the series and will air the English dubbed episodes of Blade Runner: Black Lotus on Adult Swim’s anime programming block – Toonami. Crunchyroll will handle the rights for streaming worldwide for its 45 million registered users and 2 million subscribers. Adult Swim and Crunchyroll also collaborated to distribute Mob Psycho 100, another anime series that debuted on Toonami in October, also there’s many more anime shows in the pipeline too.

Alcon Television Group’s Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Laura Lancaster, Al-Francis Cuenca, and Sola Digital Art’s Joseph Chou will executive produce the new series. Alcon executive Ben Roberts will serve as co-executive producer. Production IG’s Mitsuhisa Ishikawa will be contributing to the project as a production advisor.
