Teen Titans Go! Nominated For 2018 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award In The Favourite Cartoon Category

Warner Bros. Animation’s and Cartoon Network’s Teen Titans Go! has been nominated in the “Favourite Cartoon” category for Nickelodeon’s 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards. In the same category, Teen Titans Go! will compete against Nickelodeon’s ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Loud House and also against 20th Century Fox’s The Simpsons. Voting for all television categories (including Favourite Cartoon) will open on Monday 12th March.

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is an annual awards ceremony event where children from around the world can vote for their favourite TV shows, movies and music. The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is now in its 30th year; this year’s awards ceremony will be held at The Forum in Inglewood, Los Angeles, on Saturday 24th March 2018 and will be hosted by WWE wrestler – John Cena.

Also, Warner Animation Group’s The Lego Batman Movie is nominated for Favourite Animated Movie, voting for this category (and for all the other film categories) opened yesterday (26/02/2018). In the same category, The Lego Batman Movie will compete against DreamWorks Animations’ Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie; Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3 and Coco; Illumination’s Despicable Me 3; Blue Sky’s/Fox’s Ferdinand and Sony Pictures Animation’s Smurfs: The Lost Village and The Emoji Movie.

Audrey Diehl Appointed Vice President Of Series At Warner Bros Animation

Yesterday (09/11/2017), Warner Bros. Animation has announced that they have hired Audrey Diehl as their new Vice President of Series. The appointment was announced yesterday by the President of Warner Bros. Animation – Sam Register. In Audrey’s new role, she will oversee new programming and animated shows that are currently in production. Warner Bros. Animation is owned by Warner Bros, a sister company of Cartoon Network’s owner – Turner, both Cartoon Network and Boomerang are a home for animated productions by Warner Bros. Animation and the studio provides a considerable amount of content to both channels.

Before her new job at Warner Bros. Animation, Audrey worked for Nickelodeon for 14 years, her final role at the channel was VP of Animation Development and had that role since October 2013. During her time at Nickelodeon, Audrey helped to develop a variety of animated Nickelodeon shows including Sanjay and Craig, Harvey Beaks and Pig Goat Banana Cricket, she also had a creative executive role on shows made by external studios for Nickelodeon including El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, Fanboy & Chum Chum and The Penguins of Madagascar. She also was in charge of the development team and pilot development at Nickelodeon.

Regarding the appointment of Audrey Diehl as VP of Series at Warner Bros. Animation, Sam Register said: “Audrey has a very impressive track record of developing and producing highly successful, high quality series throughout her career, and we are very happy to welcome her to our team. This is an extremely exciting time to be working at WBA, with more than a dozen current series in production or on the air, and more to come. We look forward to Audrey contributing right away to our continued growth.”

Warner Bros. Animation is currently producing thirteen different shows at the moment, mostly for Cartoon Network and Boomerang including Justice League Action, Teen Titans Go!, DC Super Hero Girls (Coming Soon to Cartoon Network USA), Unikitty! (Coming Soon to Cartoon Network USA), Be Cool Scooby-Doo!, Bunnicula, Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz, New Looney Tunes, The Tom and Jerry Show, Wacky Races, Mike Tyson Mysteries (Adult Swim), Green Eggs and Ham (Netflix) and Young Justice: Outsiders (for the new DC Comics Digital Service).

Yesterday (20/04/2017), Turner USA appointed Sundance Feniger as vice president and general manager of Boomerang USA’s brand new subscription video on-demand service which provides a wide selection of classic and modern animation to be enjoyed by kids, families and cartoon fanatics of all ages. In the new role, Mr Feniger will run and oversee the operations of the Boomerang streaming service, this includes content management, marketing, viewing data analysis and the development and introduction of new features, he will also work with Warner Bros.’s DreamFever, the company that provided the technology for the streaming service.

The Boomerang streaming service launched on 11th April 2017 and through its joint ownership with Turner and Warner Bros., the service has access to an archive of over 5,000 animated titles, including timeless favourites such as Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry and also streaming service exclusives such as Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz and the brand new Wacky Races reboot.

Mr Feniger previously worked at Nickelodeon as senior director of product strategy and development and managed Viacom’s first subscription video on-demand service – Noggin, he also held multiple management roles in Nickelodeon’s games division.

Time Warner’s Turner and Warner Bros. announced today that Sundance Feniger has been named vice president and general manager of Boomerang, the newly launched premium video subscription service that offers the best in timeless and original animation to kids, families and cartoon lovers of all ages. The new Boomerang service, a joint venture from Turner and Warner Bros. Digital Networks Group, is another step for Turner and Warner Bros. direct to consumer business and the first product focused on family, kids and animation.

In this newly created role, Feniger leads the overall Boomerang streaming business across all functions and partners with DramaFever on technology. He will report jointly to both companies.

“Sundance has a passion for kids content and animation. He also has the technical and data background to understand the underlying business,” said Turner and Warner Bros. “His knowledge and experience in developing great product will help Boomerang win in this competitive space.”

Boomerang premium subscription service launched April 11, 2017 with the massive Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes and MGM animation library of more than 5,000 titles, timeless franchises including Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, The Jetsons, and The Flintstones, plus Boomerang original exclusives such as Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz and Wacky Races.

Prior to joining Boomerang, Feniger was senior director of product strategy and development at Nickelodeon where he developed the strategy and managed premium product for Viacom’s first mobile subscription video-on-demand service, NOGGIN. He also held multiple leadership positions with the Nickelodeon Games Group, leading monetization operations, premium product management and partnerships for all virtual world and MMO games. Feniger earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Cornell University.
