Today (10/10/2017), Turner’s Poland division has announced that a HD feed of Boomerang will launch in the country in 2018. At present, Poland receives the Central and Eastern Europe version of Boomerang, it’s not known if this will change or the HD feed will broadcast in other countries within the same region. Boomerang is home to family-friendly animation targeting children aged between four and seven years old. Boomerang is also a home for classic animation and contemporary animation from both Warner Bros. and Hanna-Barbera libraries, including New Looney Tunes and Be Cool and Scooby-Doo. Boomerang is also a place for animation acquired from independent studios including The Garfield Show, Grizzy and the Lemmings and Oddbods.
On Monday 16th October, Boomerang Central Eastern Europe will premiere Warner Bros. Animation’s Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz. Also in November, Boomerang CEE will premiere a remake of a Hanna-Barbera classic – Wacky Races.
Meanwhile, a HD version of Cartoon Network Central Eastern Europe is also planned to launch sometime this month, the HD feed will first launch in the Czech Republic.
