Yesterday (16th October) in North America, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, Lego and DC Comics has released their latest video game – Lego DC Super-Villains, the first game with a villain-focused story taking place in the DC universe. The new game has been nominated as one of the Best Family Games of 2018 by E3’s Game Critics Awards. Lego DC Super-Villains allows players to create their own super-villain, with a wide choice of costumes and abilities, play alongside DC’s famous super-villains in an original story and also determine their character’s purpose throughout the game’s story. The game will be released globally this Friday (19th October) and will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

In the new game, the Justice League has disappeared and Earth is now protected by a superhero team from a parallel universe known as the “Justice Syndicate”. However DC Super-Villains from the Legion of Doom find out that Earth’s newest heroes aren’t the heroes they claim to be. Each customisable Super-Villain character will discover and foil the evil plans of the new so-called superheroes. During the game, players will unlock new powers and customisations for their character, travel to different places for story quests, puzzles and mini-games to unlock rewards and to recruit other DC Super-Villains or cause mischief in various locations from the DC universe including Gotham, Metropolis, Smallville and many more.

The Deluxe Edition of the game is now available to buy in the United States and costs $74.99 USD and features the main game content, season pass content, early access to the DC Super-Villains: TV Series DLC Character Pack, and an exclusive LEGO minifigure, Lex Luthor Superman. Digital download customers will will receive the Justice League Dark Character Pack, inspired by the comic book series Justice League Dark. The season pass can also be purchased separately for $14.99 USD, the season pass will offer add-on game content inspired by several DC movies, live action and animated TV series and comics. The season pass will feature six level packs and four character packs, including two Aquaman movie level packs based on the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures film – Aquaman, which will be released in cinemas across the United States on 2nd December. Today (18th July), DHX Media, the world’s leading independent children’s programming producer has announced that the brand new animated series based on Capcom’s video game character – Mega Man called – “Mega Man: Fully Charged” will premiere on Cartoon Network USA on Sunday 5th August, with new episodes airing every Sunday, with ten initial episodes available to view from Friday 3rd August on the Cartoon Network app and VOD (video on-demand) services. In Canada, the new animated series will air on DHX’s Family Channel from this Autumn.

The new Mega Man series is co-produced with Dentsu Entertainment’s USA division and is executive produced by Man of Action Entertainment (creators of Cartoon Network’s Ben 10, Generator Rex, and the creators of the characters and team featured in Big Hero 6), Man of Action’s team consists of Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle. Man of Action will also be story editors on the new series.

Ahead of the show’s premiere in the both the United States and Canada, episode trailers for the new show will be available to view on DHX Media’s YouTube-based kids’ network WildBrain starting from this Saturday (21st July), show clips and trailer previews will be released on a weekly basis on Mega Man: Fully Charged’s very own YouTube channel.

Toys and consumer products based on the new Mega Man series are set to be released from Spring 2019, with the master toy licensee – Jakks Pacific releasing action figures, figurines, playsets and accessories, role-play items, and everyday dress-up and Halloween costumes.

On this Friday (20th July) at San Diego Comic Con (San Diego Convention Centre – ​Room 25ABC) between 6 and 7pm, there will be a panel for the new Mega Man: Fully Charged animated series, the panel will include Capcom’s Kazuhiro Tsuchiya (video game producer: ​Mega Man® 11, ​Asura’s Wrath™), Logan McPherson (DHX Studios, VP, creative & animated production: Slugterra, The Deep, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, the series) and Man of Action Entertainment’s Joe Casey and Steven T. Seagle (executive producers and story editors: Mega Man: Fully Charged). At the panel, there will be a behind-the-scenes look at the new series.

Before the panel and between 12.30pm and 1pm, there will be an exclusive Mega Man: Fully Charged artwork signing also with Joe Casey, Steven T. Cartoon Network has announced the release dates of its newest console game – Adventure Time: Pirates Of The Enchiridion. The game will be released on Tuesday 17th July in the United States and will be released worldwide on Friday 20th July, the game is now available to pre-order in the U.S. and the UK. Adventure Time: Pirates Of The Enchiridion will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam (PC). The brand new game is published by Outright Games and is developed by UK-based Climax Studios.

In the game, the Land of Ooo is flooded and the kingdoms have separated from each other. With the use of their newly constructed boat – Finn and Jake will need to sail around the now flooded land to find out what happened, on their adventures, they will recruit friends to join their pirate crew, get involved in swashbuckling fights, interrogate characters for clues and traverse the now dangerous flooded Land of Ooo. The new game will feature open-world exploration, tactical combat and 3D visuals matching Cartoon Network’s popular animated series.
