Cartoon Network UK now has a sneak peek of the brand new video game based on The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part now in cinemas across the UK, Cartoon Network UK has sent YouTube Let’s Player Fruity to interview the game’s director – Jamie Eden. The new game is made by TT Games, a UK-based video games company owned by Warner Bros., a sister company of Cartoon Network. The video game will be released on Tuesday 26th February for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and on 26th March for Nintendo Switch, a PC version of the game will be released soon.

The game allows players to relive the movie though an interactive experience and features character customisation and lot of collectables across all levels, including Master Pieces that unlock new planets, relics that can be traded in for unlockable characters and Lego sets and also a sandbox mode where players can build their own Lego creations. Explorable worlds include an apocalyptic wasteland, an asteroid field with a secret base, an alien jungle and many more. The game will involve building Lego models and solving puzzles.

Today (14th January), UK national state-owned broadcaster Channel 4 has announced they have signed a broadcasting and on-demand content deal with Turner Broadcasting UK for TV shows from their young adult entertainment brand – Adult Swim, including the Emmy award-winning and critically acclaimed animated sci-fi comedy series – Rick and Morty. As part of the deal, new episodes of Rick and Morty from season four will premiere on Channel 4 in the UK. Channel 4’s youth-skewing entertainment sister channel – E4 will be airing Rick and Morty season one to three from February, this will be the second time that Rick and Morty will have aired on UK free-to-air television (aired first on TruTV’s limited time only Adult Swim block). Channel 4 also promised a frequent “Adult Swim” hour-long block on E4.

In addition to new Rick and Morty episodes and a new Adult Swim block, a large library of Adult Swim content will be coming soon to Channel 4’s VOD (Video on-demand) service – All 4 for free, from launch, the VOD library will feature 300 episodes with hundreds more to come over the next three years. Rick and Morty has been a breakout Adult Swim show in UK, and fans in the UK can now watch all the hilarious intergalactic adventures of a crazed scientist and his panicky grandson on a channel and VOD service that’s free and widely available.

The first ever Adult Swim block on E4 will not only feature Rick and Morty but also the UK television premiere of the Robot Chicken: The Walking Dead Special, the new block will feature a variety of Adult Swim shows which will also be available to stream as full series boxsets on All 4 in the UK.

Rick and Morty debut on E4 will air alongside the UK premiere of the Robot Chicken: The Walking Dead Special on E4. The Adult Swim section on the All 4 service (referred to as the “Adult Swim Channel”) will be accessible on the All 4 app. The All 4 app is available for iOS and Android devices, Amazon Fire TV, Freeview Play and Samsung TVs, as well as games consoles, alternatively the service can be accessed in a web browser at http://www.all4.com.

Adult Swim content on All4 will feature a mix of new and old shows from February including classics Robot Chicken (still in production), Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Venture Bros (recently revived for a new season which has aired in the U.S.) and Squidbillies. The brand new and highly anticipated fourth series of Emmy, Critic’s Choice and IGN award-winning Rick and Morty will make its UK premiere on Channel 4, with the first three series airing on E4 from February – the first time ever on free-to-air UK television. This is part of a new brand partnership that will also see hundreds of hours of Adult Swim content being made available to stream for free on All 4.

Described as “the world’s most ingenious animation” (Guardian), and “one of the best shows on television” (Vulture), UK viewers can get up to speed with the duo’s universe-hopping antics on E4. Series 1 to 3 will have the UK flying around Anatomy Park, turning into sentient pickles and bingeing on Interdimensional Cable with our favourite terrified grandson and maniacal genius grandfather from February.

Yesterday (16th October) in North America, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, Lego and DC Comics has released their latest video game – Lego DC Super-Villains, the first game with a villain-focused story taking place in the DC universe. The new game has been nominated as one of the Best Family Games of 2018 by E3’s Game Critics Awards. Lego DC Super-Villains allows players to create their own super-villain, with a wide choice of costumes and abilities, play alongside DC’s famous super-villains in an original story and also determine their character’s purpose throughout the game’s story. The game will be released globally this Friday (19th October) and will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

In the new game, the Justice League has disappeared and Earth is now protected by a superhero team from a parallel universe known as the “Justice Syndicate”. However DC Super-Villains from the Legion of Doom find out that Earth’s newest heroes aren’t the heroes they claim to be. Each customisable Super-Villain character will discover and foil the evil plans of the new so-called superheroes. During the game, players will unlock new powers and customisations for their character, travel to different places for story quests, puzzles and mini-games to unlock rewards and to recruit other DC Super-Villains or cause mischief in various locations from the DC universe including Gotham, Metropolis, Smallville and many more.

The Deluxe Edition of the game is now available to buy in the United States and costs $74.99 USD and features the main game content, season pass content, early access to the DC Super-Villains: TV Series DLC Character Pack, and an exclusive LEGO minifigure, Lex Luthor Superman. Digital download customers will will receive the Justice League Dark Character Pack, inspired by the comic book series Justice League Dark. The season pass can also be purchased separately for $14.99 USD, the season pass will offer add-on game content inspired by several DC movies, live action and animated TV series and comics.
