Today (18th July), DHX Media, the world’s leading independent children’s programming producer has announced that the brand new animated series based on Capcom’s video game character – Mega Man called – “Mega Man: Fully Charged” will premiere on Cartoon Network USA on Sunday 5th August, with new episodes airing every Sunday, with ten initial episodes available to view from Friday 3rd August on the Cartoon Network app and VOD (video on-demand) services. In Canada, the new animated series will air on DHX’s Family Channel from this Autumn.

The new Mega Man series is co-produced with Dentsu Entertainment’s USA division and is executive produced by Man of Action Entertainment (creators of Cartoon Network’s Ben 10, Generator Rex, and the creators of the characters and team featured in Big Hero 6), Man of Action’s team consists of Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle. Man of Action will also be story editors on the new series.

Ahead of the show’s premiere in the both the United States and Canada, episode trailers for the new show will be available to view on DHX Media’s YouTube-based kids’ network WildBrain starting from this Saturday (21st July), show clips and trailer previews will be released on a weekly basis on Mega Man: Fully Charged’s very own YouTube channel.

Toys and consumer products based on the new Mega Man series are set to be released from Spring 2019, with the master toy licensee – Jakks Pacific releasing action figures, figurines, playsets and accessories, role-play items, and everyday dress-up and Halloween costumes.

On this Friday (20th July) at San Diego Comic Con (San Diego Convention Centre – ​Room 25ABC) between 6 and 7pm, there will be a panel for the new Mega Man: Fully Charged animated series, the panel will include Capcom’s Kazuhiro Tsuchiya (video game producer: ​Mega Man® 11, ​Asura’s Wrath™), Logan McPherson (DHX Studios, VP, creative & animated production: Slugterra, The Deep, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, the series) and Man of Action Entertainment’s Joe Casey and Steven T. Like previous years, Adult Swim will be at San Diego Comic Con 2018, one of the world’s most popular media conventions that celebrates everything from movies, TV shows, comics, animation and much more. This year’s convention will be held between Thursday 19th and Sunday 22nd July in San Diego, Califonia, USA. However, this year’s Adult Swim’s event will be slightly different from previous years, as convention visitors will enjoy a full Adult Swim themed outdoor camping experience at Adult Swim’s very own “State Park” just outside and behind the San Diego Convention Center at 5th Avenue Landing and Convention Way.

The camping event will start on Thursday and end on Sunday, with first look programming shown at night between Thursday and Saturday. The camping park will also include fun outdoor activities including canoe races and archery competitions and there will also be wood carvers using chainsaws to make sculptures. Lockers will be available on-site to keep fan’s items safe and secure while doing activities, there will also be a Hot Dogs roaster and a S’mores Station featuring fun-size Snickers bars for hungry campers. Campers can also collect merit badges, the more they experience at the camp, the more they earn.

Campers in the park (and like other adultswim.com viewers elsewhere within the United States) will enjoy live broadcasts of Adult Swim’s FishCenter, Stupid Morning Bullshit, Williams Street Swap Shop and more, every day from 3pm PT, from Thursday to Sunday.

The world famous convention for comics, movies, TV shows and animation – San Diego Comic Con will be held between July 19th and July 22nd at the San Diego Convention Center, and as usual, Cartoon Network will be running special events at the convention, with a final goodbye to Cartoon Network’s long-running animated series – Adventure Time, a multi-show Cartoon Network panel featuring special guests and also two special Steven Universe panels. At the Cartoon Network booth during the convention, fans will get to enjoy a unique Steven Universe experience, where they will meet the Crystal Gems above a crystal landscape, giving fans the opportunity to be in a scene with their favourite characters.

The Adventure Time panel will take place on Friday 20th July at Hilton Bayfront’s Indigo Ballroom, running from 10am to 11.15am, this will include a musical performance featuring some of the most recognisable songs from the series, plus special guests and an exclusive series finale trailer.

On Thursday 19th July, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm there will be a special Steven Universe panel in-partnership with the Dove Self-Esteem Project, the panel is called the “Superheroes of Body Positivity Panel” and it will discuss the importance of body positivity in both the real and the animated world. At the panel, Steven Universe creator – Rebecca Sugar will be present along with the voice of Garnet – Estelle Darlings. On Saturday 21st July, Rebecca Sugar, Estelle, Michaela Dietz (Amethyst), Deedee Magno Hall (Pearl) and Zach Callison (Steven Universe) will gather round at the official Steven Universe panel in the Indigo Ballroom at San Diego’s Hilton Bayfront, the panel will be held from 10am to 11.15am, some “epic announcements” have been promised, and of course, musical performances with a ukulele.

At 2pm on Saturday 21st July in Room 25ABC, Cartoon Network will be having a cross-show panel for its new and current animated productions called “Cartoon Network Creators: Drawing on Inspiration”, featuring show creators Matt Burnett and Ben Levin from Craig of the Creek, Daniel Chong from We Bare Bears, Diego Molano from Victor and Valentino and Julia Pott from Summer Camp Island, the panel will be moderated by the creator of OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes – Ian Jones-Quartey.

On Thursday 19th July at 6pm at the Harbor Ballroom at the Manchester Grand Hyatt is The Her Universe Fashion Show: Cartoon Network Junior Designer Showcase. The Her Universe Fashion Show is now in its 5th year and it’s a design competition where 24 fashion designers compete against each other for the opportunity to design a Her Universe fashion collection from Hot Topic. Cartoon Network has sponsored the junior designer contest, and kids and young people aged between 5 and 17 years old took part in the competition. Four winners have been chosen and they will reveal their winning designs at the Cartoon Network Junior Designer showcase during the Her Universe Fashion Show. The event will be hosted by actress and Her Universe founder, Ashley Eckstein, the show will be held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt on Thursday 19th July, doors open at 5.15pm.

On Sunday 22nd July at the Hilton Bayfront Indigo Ballroom is Cartoon Network’s Best Summer Ever Costume Ball which be held between 11.30am and 1pm, as the name suggests, it will be summer themed and it’s also a costume contest with special guest judges from the people behind Cartoon Network’s most popular shows. There will also be games, exclusive sneak peek clips and prizes too, parents are even encouraged to take part in the costume contest with their kids.

DC Super Hero Girls is a brand new show coming soon to Cartoon Network and follows the teenage lives of Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl and many others attending a high school for teenaged super heroes. They might just be teenagers but they have the responsibility of protecting the city of Metropolis from the some of the most fearsome school-aged villains of the DC Universe. Alongside the new series, there’s two new graphic novels – “Out of the Bottle” and “Search for Atlantis”. DC Group Editor Marie Javins will be at the presentation for a sneak peek at upcoming books, and show producer Lauren Faust and other members of the creative team for a first look at this upcoming series.

A special panel for Cartoon Network’s and Warner Bros. Animation’s Unikitty animated series which follows the character of the same name that originated from The Lego Movie and the upcoming sequel – The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, there will be plenty of sparkle matters and happiness as show producers Lynn Wang and Ed Skudder, animation director Anna Hollingsworth and voice talent – Tara Strong, Grey Griffin, Eric Bauza, H. Cartoon Network is bringing an out-of-this world fan experience at Comic-Con (July 19-22) with an overall immersive Steven Universe experience, an homage to Adventure Time, along with additional signings, panels and exclusive product offerings.

Inspired by the illustrious mythology of Steven Universe, this year’s booth (#3735) will greet fans with large, iconic figures of the Crystal Gems above a crystal landscape. A screen embedded in the crystal will show what’s waiting inside – the chance to be in an epic parallax scene with their favorite characters!
