Special Jorel’s Brother Episode To Screened At Cinemas In Brazil

Cartoon Network Latin America and the Brazilian division of multinational cinema chain – Cinemark have partnered to exhibit a special movie-like episode of Irmão do Jorel (English title: Jorel’s Brother) in cinemas across Brazil. The special episode – Irmão do Jorel: Edição Especial Alucinante (Jorel’s Brother: Awesome Special Edition), will be about the long-time friendship between show’s titular character – Jorel’s Brother and Lara, it will feature new scenes and some scenes from Jorel’s Brother’s third season.

The episode will be screened in Cinemark cinemas this weekend (Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March) and will be shown two times each day. Tickets are now available to buy at the box office and the Cinemark website, tickets will have regular box office prices, Cinemark Mania customers will get 50% discount.

Jorel’s Brother follows the life of a young Brazilian boy (based on the show’s creator – Juliano Enrico) who often gets overshadowed by his brother – Jorel and is not referred to by his actual name, both live with an eccentric family who often get themselves into hilariously bizarre situations. The show is animated by Rio de Janeiro based studio – Copa Studio for Cartoon Network Latin America.

Jorel’s Brother Gets A Positive Response From MIPCOM Last Week (15th to 18th October)

Last week at MIPCOM, Copa Studio’s and Cartoon Network Latin America’s Jorel’s Brother (Brazilian Portuguese title: Irmão do Jorel) was met with positive responses from countries in Asia, Europe and Oceania regarding the show’s planned internationalisation, there was also interest for Copa Studio’s Trunk Train (Brazilian Portuguese title: Tromba Trem) and Haunted Tales for Wicked Kids (Brazilian Portuguese title: Historietas Assombradas para Crianças Malcriadas), both shows have aired on Cartoon Network Latin America and Cartoon Network Brazil.

Eight New Episodes of Monica’s Gang To Be Screened at Cinemark Cinemas In Brazil

On 2nd to 4th November, 17 Cinemark cinemas will be showing eight never before seen of the Monica’s Gang (Brazilian Portuguese title: Turma da Mônica) animated series from season two, plus some additional special content at 12.50pm every day. Monica’s Gang is a popular Brazilian comic book franchise created by Mauricio de Sousa, the animated television adaptation of the same name which will be shown in cinemas airs on Cartoon Network Latin America and Cartoon Network Brazil.

Turner Putting Fans at the Center Keynote Speech at Incite Group Brand Marketing Summit In New York (24th to 25th October)

Cartoon Network Studios’ We Bare Bears And Cartoon Network Latin America’s Jorel’s Brother Selected For Annecy Animation Festival 2018 TV Films In Competition

Cartoon Network’s worldwide hit show – We Bare Bears and Cartoon Network Latin America’s and Copa Studio’s Jorel’s Brother (Original Brazilian Portuguese Title: Irmão do Jorel) have been selected to be screened and showcased at Annecy Animation Festival 2018. Both We Bare Bears and Jorel’s Brother will both take part in the TV films competition. The Annecy Animation Festival is considered to be one of the largest and influential animation industry events in the world, the festival is an opportunity for animation studios to promote their work, for broadcasters to buy new shows, for studios to seek new talent or for potential show creators to find inspiration. The festival is also one of the most important events on Cartoon Network’s yearly calendar, the festival is held every year in Annecy, France and this year, it will take place between 11th and 16th June.

The episode of We Bare Bears that will be shown at the festival is the Annie Award winning episode – “Panda’s Art”, in the episode Panda paints a portrait of Charlie for his art class and gives it to Charlie as a gift. But after an art dealer offers to buy the painting, Panda has to get it back from Charlie. The episode of Jorel’s Brother that will be shown at the festival will be “Special Eject” (Original Brazilian Portuguese Title: Eject Especial), in the episode, a giant birthday cake, a puppet and Japanese heroes invade Japan after being ejected from a VCR where they were recorded. Jorel’s brother needs to race against time to save Japan.

Also, Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken is also in the “TV Films in Competition” category with their Walking Dead special – “Look Who’s Walking”, the episode is a parody of the hit horror show – The Walking Dead and is a collaboration between Robot Chicken creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich and The Walking Dead creator/executive producer Robert Kirkman and showrunner/executive producer Scott M. Gimple. The Walking Dead’s original cast also voice act their roles in the special.
