Clarence’s Stormy Sleepover Miniseries Coming Soon

Cartoon Network’s Clarence will be having its very own mini-series entitled “Clarence’s Stormy Sleepover”, according to the show’s Head of Story (and voice of Clarence) – Spencer Rothbell, the miniseries will air on Cartoon Network USA sometime in June. The first episode will be available to watch on video-on-demand services as well as the Cartoon Network app sometime between today (21/05/2017) or tomorrow (22/05/2017). The first episode is called “The Phantom Clarence” and the mini-series will consist of six episodes. Sleepover episodes are quite a common theme in Clarence (especially as the show centres on elementary/primary school aged children and has a friendship theme), with episodes such as Slumber Party and Belson’s Sleepover. According to Spencer, he says there are lots of little clues and moments that relate to other episodes as you watch.

According to the episode description for The Phantom Clarence on Zap2It’s TV listings website it says:

“Clarence plans to throw the sleepover to end all sleepovers with decorations, pillow fights, and games, but there’s one thing missing – guests; Clarence wants to invite all his friends, but finds that they might need some convincing.”

Clarence To End After Season Three

The end of Cartoon Network’s Clarence isn’t exactly new news, but the head of story on the show and the voice of Clarence – Spencer Rothbell has released a full statement on his blog. On 5th April, Spencer confirmed that the show will end after season three, but the good news is Clarence will be staying around on Cartoon Network way into 2018 and the show will have a proper ending. He also said that season three will be filled with a load of great episodes.

Season three will feature guest stars, more character development, show format experiments and lots of other fun stuff. In his blog post, he thanked everyone who has worked on the show and also to all the fans. The show is run by a talented and enthusiastic team that love what they are doing, this is reflected in the quality of the actual show. Spencer also mentioned that he may do more writing and voice acting, and maybe some show pitches of his own, which sounds interesting. Whatever Spencer and the Clarence crew do next, I wish them the best of luck for the future.
