Over The Garden Wall Digital Soundtrack Now Available To Download

Music composers The Blasting Company (Brandon Armstrong, Joshua Kaufman and Justin Rubenstein) and pop-culture collectables website Mondo has released a digital soundtrack for Cartoon Network’s first ever miniseries – Over The Garden Wall. The animated short series is known for its autumnal, turn-of-the-20th century theme and haunting atmosphere. Over The Garden Wall tells the tale of two young brothers named Wirt (voiced by Elijah Wood) and Greg (Collin Dean), who are trying to find a way home in a strange land called The Unknown, a land inhabited by strange creatures and colourful characters.

On their journey, Wirt and Greg have many musical moments, which you can now enjoy anytime with the digital release of the soundtrack. Previously, the soundtrack was released on vinyl for a limited time only. The digital soundtrack can now be purchased on iTunes and Bandcamp, or streamed on Spotify and Bandcamp. The album features 32 tracks, plus an extra 8 tracks which have been added to the digital release bringing the total to 40 tracks. The digital release was supposed to be released last September alongside the vinyl version, but due to circumstances outside of Mondo’s control, the release got delayed and it was eventually released on Friday 20th September 2017.

In terms of merchandise, Cartoon Network is still committed to the series, with a series of Domez collectable figurines and plush toys from Zag Toys now available and also The Art of Over The Garden Wall book which will be released on Tuesday 26th September. A special 2017 comic book special based on the miniseries published by BOOM! Comics was released on Wednesday 20th September.

Teen Titans Go! The Night Begins To Shine Soundtrack Released

Coinciding with the Teen Titans Go! The Night Begins To Shine four-part special (full title: The Day the Night Stopped Beginning to Shine and Became Dark Even Though It Was The Day) which aired on Cartoon Network USA this week (01/08/2017 – 04/08/2017), Warner Bros. music label – Watertower Records has released a Teen Titans Go! The Night Begins To Shine soundtrack featuring the song of the same name by B.E.R. with one version by singer/rapper CeeLo Green (who also made a guest appearance in the miniseries) and another by the Japanese rock/pop band Puffy AmiYumi (performers of the original Teen Titans theme song, and Cartoon Network also made a show based on their band – Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi).

The miniseries is based upon the episode 40%, 40%, 20%, which features a huge 1980’s action animation art shift far removed from Teen Titans Go! flash animation art style. In the four-part special, Cyborg is trapped in the “The Night Begins To Shine” alternate reality and there’s an evil dragon who wants to steal the catchy song for his own nefarious purposes. The Teen Titans ask musicians CeeLo Green and Fall Out Boy for help so they can save their friend Cyborg and to defeat the dragon once and for all.

The soundtrack features two other songs by B.E.R. – Forever Mine and Rise Up as well as a “Dragon Remix” of The Night Begins To Shine.

The soundtrack features the following tracks:

1. “The Night Begins To Shine” — CeeLo Green
2. “Forever Mine” — B.E.R.
3. “The Night Begins To Shine (Dragon Remix)” — B.E.R.
4. “Rise Up” — B.E.R.
5. “The Night Begins To Shine” — Puffy AmiYumi

The album is available to download from Google Play and Amazon.com and can be streamed on Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, AWA, Line Music, KK Box and Tidal.

Adult Swim Programming Now Airing On Enorme TV In France

Enorme TV, a comedy and music channel in France have made a broadcasting deal with Turner Broadcasting System Europe to air Adult Swim shows, the deal comes after the reintroduction of the Adult Swim block in the UK on FOX. At present, Enorme TV is airing two Adult Swim shows, Robot Chicken and Loiter Squad. Adult Swim is the most popular programming block for young adults in the United States and Turner has been waiting for that breakout moment in order to appeal to international markets.

After the UK and France, Turner have ambitions to expand the Adult Swim brand to other countries in the Europe, Middle East and Africa area in 2016, a list of countries is yet to be disclosed by Turner. These expansion plans also follow Turner’s deal with Spotify to add Adult Swim shows to its new streaming video platform.

Turner EMEA president Giorgio Stock made this statement regarding Adult Swim’s expansion plans in Europe:

“In the US, Adult Swim is the number one basic cable destination for Millennials and has been for many years, and we’ve always wanted to crack that nut internationally. The time has come now to ramp that up, because we now have more owned content than ever. We’ve seen a real momentum internationally for audiences wanting to see Rick and Morty from online data, and from operators wanting to buy it from us. We’ve decided we want to build the brand, and not just the show.”
